Chapter 16

I'M SORRRRRRRYYYYYYY!!!!! I know that i haven't updated in forever and a half, BUT I have a reason. School. The teachers are just putting so much homework and projects on us already. Anyway time for the new chapter!

Chloe's POV

I stared in awe at my old friend from Aikido class; (Aikido is a martial art if you didn't know) He was much taller than me now. I looked up at him as we stood up; he looked at me with the same look of amazement. We haven't talked or seen each other since the old dojo was torn down 3 years ago. Our families were still in touch but we never actually met up. Now I look at him 3 years later and he's changed quite a bit. His hair was shorter and he has grown a small amount of facial hair.

"Is it really you Chloe?" he asked looking at me with his jaw slightly dropped.

"Y-yes...I can't believe it's you Eugene." I said back giving a smile. Suddenly I felt a pair of arms around me for Eugene was now hugging me pretty tightly. I returned the gesture and smiled. He then pulled back from our embrace and smiled back at me.

"It's been so long! How have you been?" he asked

"I've been great; I just got back from my world trip with my friends."

"Cool! I've just been here with work and school."

"Well I was just about to go to the book store if you want you can come with me. Maybe afterwards we can get some food." I said offering to have some time to catch up on what's been going on in the last 3 years.

"That sounds great!" he exclaimed.

We started walking and talking as we made our way to the book store. After finally finding the books I wanted, we went to a nearby Chinese restaurant and ate some noodles and rice while still talking about life.

A few weeks have passed and Eugene and I have really kept in touch and today he wanted me to meet up with him for some reason. I walked to the park he wanted to meet up at and I decided to sit down on a swing and read one of the books I got that time we met after so long. I waited for about 15 minutes and I looked up to see Eugene running towards me.

"CHLOEEEE!" he yelled before bringing me into a hug.

"Well someone's excited." I stated while rapping my arms around his built frame, "So why did you call me here?" I asked slightly tilting my head to the side.

"W-well..." he started, "I wanted to ask you something...." a light blush crawled up his cheeks

"I'm listening." I said to tell him to continue.

"Well you see, Chloe. We've been hanging out quite a bit lately and I been starting to warm up to you and well I really like you, Chloe." He said

"Aw well I like you too Eugene." I said with a smile but he didn't smile back

"Actually I like you in a different way....not as a friend....more than just good buds. What I'm trying to get at is....Chloe, will you be my girlfriend?" he looked at me with hopeful eyes while I just stood there.

It felt like one side of me was fighting with the other, you know like in those cartoons where someone argues with themselves in their brain.

The words that are in italics are Chloe's "Leading brain", the bold words is Chloe's "You gotta move on" side, and the underlined words are Chloe's "but you love Cara!" side, the words underlined and bolded is Chloe's logical side. Oh and they all call each other Chloe.)
