Cara's POV (woo! I'm trying new things!)

I hulled my baggage through the gate as I looked for a sign with my name on it. I was told that Jessie was picking me up from the air port and taking me to Karen's place. I walked and walked until I came upon a giant sign that read the words 'WELCOME BACK CARA!' In bright red paint on a big board. I walked over to the sign and gave Jessie a hug as she put the sign down.

"It's good to see you again." I said pulling away from the hug and Jessie did the same

"It's good to have you back in Canada." She said back.

She took one of my bags and carried it for me as we made our way to her car, "So, why couldn't Karen pick me up? She just texted me once I got off the plane telling me that you're coming instead." I said looking at Jessie as we walked.

"Oh, she woke up late and didn't get her house ready for your visit. Since her family went away again she's all alone doing the work." She said as she put my bags in the trunk of the car. She got into the drivers seat and clicked he seat belt on, "buckle up!"

We drove for about 30 minutes and we finally made it to Karen's. I got my stuff out of the car and made my way towards Karen's door. I gave a quick wave to Jessie as she backed out of the driveway before ringing the door bell once.

*Ding Dong*

No answer. I rang the bell again and again and again until I was violently stabing the door bell with my finger. Then finally Karen opens the door.

"Jeez; you don't have to kill my door bell." She said as she grabbed one of my bags from me and carried it inside.

"Whatever." I said playfully, "Thanks for letting me stay at your place, Karen." I said as she lead me to a room which I was assuming to be mine.

"No problem! Anyway, here's your room, make your self at home. I'm just going to clean up a bit while you get some rest. I bet your tired from the plane." She said dropping my bag near the door then resting on the door frame.

"Yeah I'm tired. I was going to sleep on the plane but there was this damn kid kicking my seat the whole flight." I said with a bit of anger in my tone.

"Shhhh." She said as she awkwardly patted my head, "just sleep, child. Make sure you have enough energy for dinner tonight. Everyone's coming."

"Well if you want me to sleep then whoosh!" I said with a slight giggle, motioning towards the door.

After she left, I crawled into the bed and once my head hit that pillow I was out like a light.

Karen POV

I cleaned for a good 3 hours trying to get this house to be presentable while Cara is here. After putting away some dishes I sat down on the couch and picked up my phone. Once I turned it on, I was amazed by the amount of messages that were there. I scrolled through them to see that there was 2 messages Jessie sent asking if Cara is okay, 1 message from Chloe asking about dinner, and 3 messages from Karina telling me to tell everyone the address of the restaurant.
