Chapter 5: First Time Meeting

Buck was a bit scared following Eddie to his house, they're only known each other for half a day.

But something in buck was telling him he could trust him.

It didn't take long to arrive as Eddie's house is 10 minutes away from the station. They parked behind each other in the driveway.

Buck waiting for Eddie to come out of his van, before he got out aswell. Eddie had already opened the door and was welcoming Buck in.

"Do you drink beer?" Eddie leading the way to the kitchen.

Buck walking behind him, notice a photo of Eddie, a boy and a women which he assumed it was his mother.

"Hum, yeah."

That all Buck could say feeling stuck, which isn't normal to Buck as he's quite talkative.

Eddie's passed him the beer bottle and drank it in silence.

"So that was quite a day for a fir day as a probie." Eddie tried to break the silence.

Buck just nod he's head and leaned back to the counter.

Eddie sence that Buck might be uncomfortable being there, they barely knew each and it was late when Eddie realised it might have been stupid to invite him to his house this early.

But here they are standing next to each other in silence, like a two mannequins staring out of the window in the kitchen.

The silence was cut again now by the door opening and closing, with the sound of crutches moving in the living room.

"Dad, we're home." The boy shouted.

"Hey buddy, how was school today?" Eddie picked him up to give him a hug.

"It was great dad. I also past the maths test and to celebrate we went to buy some ice." Chris said with a smile on his face.

"I'm proud of you Chris but you know you should not eat ice cream before dinner." Eddie told him and turned to look at tia Pepa.

"Thanks for bringing him, do you want something to drink, a coffee maybe?."

"No thanks mijo. And about Chris, no need to thank me a always love to spent time with mi sabrino."

"Chris go change and put your things in your room and come it something."

"Ok dad."

Chris was walking to his room, when he passed the kitchen he thought he saw a silhouette of a person, but he kept walking to his room.

Buck all that time stayed in the kitchen scared to move. He saw the kid walking pass the kitchen, and for a moment his hearth stoped but to his luck the kid kept walking to his room.

Than he heard tia Pepa talking and couldn't but to over hear what they were saying.

"Eddie I love Chris, but you need to find someone that can take care of him and you. Me and abuela love to have him but we are getting older and also Chris. He is an ergetic kid and it's hard sometimes to keep with him."

"Tia I know that, I have been trying to find some that can help me with Christopher but no one is agree to the job as I don't have flexible hours."

"Why don't you find a women that can care of Chris and give you both the love that you need."

"What!!" Eddie exclaims. "No, I can't, I can't be in a relationship yet."

"Eddie it's been 2 years."

"And I'm still not ready for a relationship yet."
