Chapter 16: Moments before disaster

(( ALL POVS ))

The night breeze was flat, yet still there, the sound of waves crashing were getting louder and louder with every breath all four of them took. With no lights in show they all decided swimming in the dark would be a perfect idea.

Adaline walked in alongside Alexander who put her on her shoulders. They dived under waves together, swimming and what not. Next came in Elaine and Brandon who came swimming as well.

Adaline begin to breathe heavily as she started getting a headache from the drinks she had consumed earlier in the night, Elaine condition was getting worse . Elaine's vision was blurring to the point she couldn't even see in the dark anymore.

Brandon's condition was dim, he could still be see yet he couldn't function properly. If only one of them knew the dangers they would be in nothing bad would happen.

As for Alexander he was hitting rock bottom the worst out of the lot, his words were slurred, he was getting cold then hot chills, his vision was blurred so much that he couldn't even see the water. Alexander kept falling over and over again into the water getting hit by waves. He was wobbling like no tomorrow, he could barely stand as is.

Suddenly Brandon begin to fall backwards like Alexander but would stand back up again. Brandon noticed something was off with Alexander as he then looked over to see Elaine and Irebella drifting out to sea.

Irebella would be floating on her back, as she'd be feeling lightheaded she suddenly she passed out in the water. Elaine wasn't aware of what was going on she'd be trying to swim with Irebella not realising she was out cold. Elaine then suddenly began to swallow heaps of water when she would then be found floating on her back alongside Irebella. The both of them were out cold.

Alexander began to pass out as well, then suddenly Brandon's eyes were slowly starting to focus. Brandon saw Alexander tipping back and forth as he realised he was about to pass out.

Brandon put Alexander up on the shoreline, as he'd then enter the water again trying to look for Elaine and Irebella but it was no luck. Irebella and Elaine would be floating out to open sea.

The currents weren't strong therefore they shouldn't be out too far, the water was clear, flat and glassy no sign of swell on the main beach. Thank god for that otherwise both girls would be in a lot more trouble.

Brandon would be stressing out as he'd run up to the shoreline to grab Alexander's phone from his jacket back pocket that was on the shoreline.

Brandon would dail his parents phone number instantly, the time was 11pm and it was pitch black outside. Alexander would be coughing up water every now and then. Alexander had regained his conscious  but it wasn't enough for him to fully be aware of what was happening.

Pete Mars would answer the phone saying, " hello? This is Pete mars speaking it's late it's there something you needed. "

On the other side of the phone Brandon would be pancaking as he'd say, " Dad! It's me Brandon I'm on Alexander's phone but I need help. Can you come to the main beach near the marina now! It's urgent. "

Pete would agree instantly as he'd drive there quickly. By now he'd arrive as he'd see Alexander in the state he was. Brandon would be stressing pacing around his father's car.

Pete would snap at Brandon, " Brandon.. I know you've been at that yacht party.. but what exactly did you guys do... "

Brandon would say in a worried tone, " all we did was drink then walk down to the beach and go swimming. " Brandon would then realise he'd have forgotten all about Elaine and Irebella.

Pete would nod, " what have I told you about swimming at night- "

Suddenly Pete's speech was interrupted as Brandon would say, " dad.. Elaine and Irebella were swimming with us and hen they vanished. They weren't on the shoreline or at the yachts.. they must still be in the water. What if they are drowning? "

Pete would sigh, " Brandon calm down, we'll look for them in the morning we'll put a search and rescue team for the both of them you're just lucky you weren't out there yourself. "

Brandon would nod, " right.. I'm just hoping they're okay. I don't plan on loosing them. "

Pete would sigh, " you won't I'm sure they'll be alive. How about you get some sleep now, same with Alexander he'll be fine by morning just needs some sleep then at the crack of dawn we can look to them straight away. "

Brandon would nod. By now it would be morning the search and rescue team was already alerted, now it was up to them as well to try and find them.

What will happen now.. are Elaine and Irebella lost at sea.. or will they be rescued in time? Found out in the next chapter..
