Everyone wants to experience falling in love, but they don't know that being in love with someone has disadvantages. The idea of someone loving you feels like heaven but most people don't love someone they like the idea of being in love. Marriage is something everyone wants to experience, the idea of walking down an aisle with a white dress and a veil is a dream for some but a memory for others. The worst part of being in a relationship is when you know the person you fell in love with and raised children wants a divorce, not only does it break your heart but your children endure the feeling of knowing their parents won't ever love each other again.

Angela came from a wealthy family that, made nothing, but money. William on the other hand had little to his name growing up with parents who only married each other because their marriage was arranged. Angela was popular, everyone knew her, and everyone aspired to be like her. William was popular since he was known for his sports, football was his talent. Angela and William were high school lovers who graduated together. Their marriage was something the whole town talked about for years on end, she was the most beautiful bride anyone had ever seen. After two years of being married, they had their first child, she was a baby girl called Adaline, two years later their first-ever son Matt was born. The parents decided they would take a break from having children and instead focus on raising the two they already had.

After ten years of raising two children, they finally decided to have another child. Their next baby was a boy called Alexander. From the moment he was born, his mother knew he would be just like his father. Shortly after came two twin girls called Lillian and Lara. After the twins were born Angela and William's marriage turned for the worst. He couldn't handle the stress of raising twins and a son who was always in trouble even as a young boy. The two twins watched their parents argue over their son's behaviour, his mother protecting him and her getting hurt because of it all. Alexander on the other hand struggled with coping with his older siblings being gone to protect him from his father so he started acting out worse than before. At first, Angela thought it was attention but soon after she realised her husband the man she once loved, was secretly harming their son when she wasn't around. One day she caught him red-handed in the act, that was her last straw. Angela took her two daughters with her leaving her son alone since he reminded her too much of his father. They got divorced and William blamed Alexander for it. The fights got worse and they became more frequent. The Peters were once a happy family but turned into a house of horrors.

(( Alexanders, Irebellas, Lillian's and Lara's POV ))

The voices from the front of the house were louder than before. The room went silent when suddenly you'd hear a key turning unlocking the front door. Irebella and Alexander would hide Lillian and Lara beside them. All four of them would be hiding on the patio. Alexander would signal to the girls to stay silent while he would peek around the corner to see none other than Angela, his mother holding hands with some guy. The two girls would hear their mother's voice as they'd run up to Alexander pointing to her. Angela looked out to the patio to see not only her daughters but her son.

(( Alexander, Irebella, Lillian, Lara, Angela and Luke's POV ))

Lara and Lillian ran past Alexander opening the door, running up to their mother and hugging her excusing the man that was standing beside her. Alexander would make eye contact with his mother looking at her with a look of disbelief. He couldn't believe his mother after all these years of him ever wondering if his parents would get back together to realise his mother had moved on, she had found ' another love '.

Alexander couldn't believe what was in front of his eyes how could his mother just move on like that? Alexander's breath slowed when his thoughts blurred, within seconds the man that was beside his mother was on the floor pinned down by Alexander. His fist was scrunched, his eyes filled with disapproval and anger. Lillian and Lara looked at Alexander not knowing what to say, as for his mother she would cling to her daughters holding them tight. Alexander looked at the man before he punched him, making sure to make him bleed, Irebella grabbed him by the left arm pulling him away from the man who was now holding onto his nose. Angela looked at her son with a terrified look before she started tearing up. Angela's mind flicked through memories of when she would protect her son back when he was younger but now she needed to be protected from her son instead.
