"Open the door!" I growled, slamming my foot against his nose again. The monument squirmed and started shouting random stuff in a rushed, panicked voice.
Y/N... Alice whispered in a very hushed voice. I stopped and listened intensely, straining hear her words. I think there's someone behind you...
Suddenly I felt a presence behind me. I slowly turned around, careful to keep my face nonchalant. In the moonlight a blue haired man stood confidently, his cold grey eyes piercing my hazel ones. He wore a black coat with a silver cross that glinted.
"You were stupid to come here. Even more so to come alone!" The man drew his sword. It looked too sharp for its own good. "Mugen," He traced his fingers on the blade, blue glowing at his fingertips. "Activate!" The katana instantly glowed with a brilliant neon blue and he charged towards me.
I stepped back, my foot off the monument. It mumbled something that I couldn't catch. Alice? I reached for her. No response. Uh Alice? I need for help right now!
Damn, what should I do? Alice was talking to me not so long ago, but it's like she disappeared. This crazy person thinks that I'm an Akuma and plans on slitting my throat.
C'mon think, think. You can't activate your Innocence and you don't have anything to defend yourself with.
Okay, he's almost near me, don't freak out, don't freak out...
Who am I kidding, I'm freaking out right now.
"I-I'm not an Akuma! I have a parasitic Innocence!" I slightly stammered, waving my hands on protest. The sword stopped short from my throat and I gulped, cursing myself for the desperateness in my voice.
The man glared at the monument. "Gatekeeper!"
"Well, it's not my fault! I can't get a reading of her insides because she has a p-" I jumped at what he was about to say. I swiveled around quickly on my heel and kicked the gatekeeper on the nose, completely forgetting about the sword that was at my throat. The Gatekeeper screamed and started rambling again.
"If you tell anyone about my mark I'll make your life miserable." I hissed, giving him a death stare. The Gatekeeper panicked again but he was much quieter this time.
"Oi!" I turned my attention towards the man. I saw determination in his cold eyes. "You don't leave your back turned to the enemy!!" He brought the blade up.
When the blade came near, I did the only thing I could; block my face with my arms. The katana sliced through my bandages, barely missing my face. I hissed. Blood was spilling out of the wound. Damn it Alice, where are you? I need your help!
The man lifted his katana again. I winced. Stop it. He deepened the wound again. I bit my lip to silence my scream and kept my face composed. The pain... it hurts... My nerves screamed out in agony. A dark feeling crept inside. Pain...
I'll always be with you, Y/N. Always. A soft voice whispered.
"STOP IT!!" I shouted. The man's dark blue eyes grew wide.
Suddenly, red light blossomed and shot up in the air, surrounding me. The man leaped back and watched. The light consumed me, filling the space with nothing but red and pink. It shimmered and danced around my vision. In the distance, I heard Alice's laughter. "Alice?" I called out.
