Chapter 16.5

"Must take Exorcist Lenalee. Exorcist down, treat injuries," it said, claws only inches from my face.

"What injuries?" I hissed. "You're not going near her." I pulled the limp body of Lenalee closer towards me, seeing Allen struggling to help Lavi up. He shook Allen off and grimaced as he saw the robot.

I looked down as a small groan came from the Lenalee. I shook her slightly, and she stirred. Come on, Lenalee, wake up. I pleaded.

Y/N!

I looked back up. The robot held a limp Lenalee with one claw and swung another claw at me. I jumped up, wincing, and held onto the metal. I flipped backwards and landed on a heap of rocks, creating more pain to my sides. I clutched at visible tear in my shirt.

Damn it, those things are really sharp. I glanced up, staring at the claws. I didn't jump high enough, huh?

"Komlin VIII !" Said robot looked at Komui. I squinted at Komui, my thoughts processing the robot's obedience.

"Allen needs his Innocence repaired. He's damaged pretty bad. Lenalee is sleeping, just put her down," he waved his hands downwards. "She'll be fine. We need you to treat to Allen's injuries."

The robot dropped Lenalee down, who hit the floor quite hard. Exclamation marks grew above Komui's head as he sputtered out frantic words of concern towards his sister.

"Exorcist Allen. Target acquired."

"Komui!!!!!!!!" Allen started to run for his life. I sweatdropped as Komlin VIII and Allen played tag. He panicked as the robot came closer and closer towards him.

Komui's eyes flashed with an evil look. "Chief!!" The science division groaned.

"I just wanted to protect my Lenalee." Fake tears pooled out of Komui's eyes. Reever shook his head in disbelieve. Then an exclamation mark shot up beside him.

"Wait, why is Allen running away? His Innocence is more than capable of destroying Komlin VII."

"He can't," Kanda replied casually, sheathing his katana. He watched the robot chase Allen, who jumped onto Lavi's hammer and held on tight as the hammer stretched quickly. "The robot knows all of our moves."

All eyes went to Komui.

"What?" He said innocently.

"Chief..." Reever started, his eyes twitching.

"Why did you make another one of those robots?!" The rest of the science scientists finished, glaring in disbelieve at their chief.

"Especially one that is almost indestructible?" Allen added, shrieking a little when the robot nearly missed his hair.

Komui laughed nervously. "Well you know I wanted to lighten up the work that the science department gets..."

"WE TOLD YOU TO STOP MAKING ROBOTS A LONG TIME AGO!!"

"Ahh... when was that?"

Reever sweatdropped. "Chief, do you not remember how costly it was to fix the building a few months ago?"

FLASHBACK TO A FEW MONTHS AGO...

"Uhh... Chief? What is that?"

"Hmm?" Komui looked up. "Oh this. Yes, this will be the one." His glasses flashed and he started laughing weirdly.

"...Chief? That's not what I thi—" A claw suddenly came down on Reever, causing him to dive out of the way. The claw retracted back into the door marked "EXTRAS".

"Yes, this is the perfect one, my masterpiece."

"After that, Komlin VII nearly destroyed the entire Order and Kanda cut it down," Reever crossed his arms, looking disappointed at his superior. "I thought you would stop making them when Lenalee threatened you—"

"No, don't bring it up again!" Komui shouted, squirming around. "Lenalee was so mean to me!"

"Then why did you make that thing?" Reever shouted back, jabbing a finger at the robot. He had angry marks on his forehead. "If you were scared of Lenalee's threat, think about what she'll do this time!"

Realization struck Komui and he whimpered, looking down at the female Exorcist with tears. "Lenalee! Lenalee! You won't threaten me again, right?"

I sweatdropped. "She's still passed out..."

"Hey, can I have some help here?" Allen shouted with dizzy eyes. "I lost count of how many times we've went around the corridor and I feel sick..."

Exclamation marks appeared above Lavi. "Oi Allen, you better not puke! If you are, you should get off. And it was 542 times."

"But the robot's going to give me some sort of special treatment..." Allen shuddered.

"Is there anyway to shut down that thing?" Reever asked.

Komui's glasses flashed. "Well, actually no. It was designed to be resistant to all Exorcists so that it won't be destroyed..." He gave a small sinister laugh.

"Chief!!!" The entire science department groaned.

I grimaced at the repeating gestures of the science division. Was every debate on Komui's rampaging robots like this?

"AHHH!!!" Allen was knocked off the hammer and sent flying to the wall. Komlin VII took the chance to seize him.

"Wait did you say all Exorcists, Komui?" Reever asked suddenly.

"Huh?" Komui snapped out of his evil state and looked up at Reever. "Yeah why?"

"Because I don't think you filed the data on her." Reever pointed towards me. It felt like a spotlight was shining down upon me.

All eyes went on me.

How does everyone shift their eyes like that in unison? I thought. It's kinda creepy how they all look at the spotlight at the same time.

I remembered Alice's warning and decided that I didn't want to be stuck in bed, bleeding out my ovaries. What a ridiculous thought. Alice humored.

I ignored her. I'm sitting comfortably among the rocks, please don't drag me in... please don't drag me in, please don't involve me...

Komui's face suddenly panicked. "Y-Y/N, if you're thinking about destroying Komuli VII..."

"What makes you think that I'm capable to destroying your fucking robot?" I interjected, slipping a colorful word by accident. "Can't you just tell it to stop trying to kill us? You managed to convince the robot to put Lenalee down."

The eyes shifted to Komui, who was sitting quietly.

"It was designed for treating Exorcists, so it won't rest until they're all taken care of."

"What do you mean, taken care of?!" I stood up quickly, fire in my eyes. "Why would you ever create this stupid machine? It's causing more trouble than the Order cares!"

"Y/N! Watch out!" Reever had a drop of sweat on his face.

A claw wrapped around my body, squeezing me tight. It lifted me off the ground and moved to where Allen and Lavi were sprawled among the rocks. Lenalee was still unconscious and Kanda was nowhere to be seen.

They're all passed out... I panicked as I realized that no one was going to help me out of this forced appointment with the robot.

The claw squeezed tighter and I winced, feeling my insides being crushed. I guess Komlin VIII malfunctioned... It was suppose to treat Allen...

I winced again as the claw squeezed my body more. Sooner or later I'm going to pass out too... I thought to myself, watching black dots cloud my vision.
