Two of the largest stars in the Korean entertainment industry, Kim Taeyeon and L/n Y/n. One, known for the success of a certain idol group. The other, meanwhile, is very much known as one of the best actors in South Korea. While both are famous for their talent, people don't realize how close their fields are to each other. The idol industry is harsh, it feels like you and your body are on a timer, day by day that more idols debut, the more you realize you're getting left behind in the dust. In the acting industry, the more you get older, the less lead roles you get. Your days as the main character, numbered the day you started acting.

Now, the two are veterans in their field. Taeyeon, being the prime example of how an idol should be, stayed strong with most of the members of SNSD, even after more than a decade and a half after their debut, still selling out stadiums. Meanwhile, Y/n has been still getting lead roles, albeit now moving to more mature and fatherly types of characters. The two being in their mid-thirties, both expecting a near end to their careers.

But, the elephant in the room hasn't been noticed, why are we even talking about the two? For the years they have both been in the industry, never ever have they'd appeared on television at the same time. But little did everyone know, there was a big secret that only the two of them and their closest friends knew about. Often feared by both their companies if it spread even by just a little bit, the case was known as the "Baby Baby incident". The companies named it after the SNSD B-side, not because they thought it's funny but because literally a baby was involved.

Young Y/n and Taeyeon, call it recklessness, call it disobedience, call it unprofessionalism, no matter what you call it, it didn't change the fact that Y/n got Taeyeon pregnant. Yes! The leader of the up-and-coming group SNSD and the rising drama and action star had a secret relationship that caused more secrets no one shall ever know.

Today, in a small cafe near the outskirts of Seoul, a man with a facemask was waiting, only taking off his mask to drink the latte he ordered minutes prior. The weather was cloudy, no sun in sight for those walking by the streets. It feels as if it was the opening scene of a drama. Suddenly, a woman sat on the seat across from him. Also masked, yet the gleam in her eyes was enough for the man to know who she is.

"It's been a while, Y/n." The girl said as the man scooted over the second, untouched coffee cup to her.

"Taeyeon, I'm glad you accepted my offer of meeting here." Y/n said as the girl took a sip of the coffee Y/n bought her.

"Does it taste good? That's your favorite blend back-"

"Cut to the chase, Y/n. We're both busy people so please save us the conversation." Taeyeon said, taking the man aback from the sudden outburst.

"I- Fine. I want to meet our daughter." Y/n said as Taeyeon couldn't believe what her former lover said.

"After all these years? It took you that long? She's already 16, Y/n. And she's been doing well." Taeyeon countered, her voice raising the tone up a bit.

"Is she really doing well? Does she even know who her father is? I've had a private investigator and I found out that her registered parents are your cousin and her husband. Is that what you call well? Isn't she being deprived of many things?" Y/n countered as Taeyeon scoffed.

"Well, if you really cared about her well-being, you would've been there from the start. You and your family never gave support even though you were at one point the highest earning actor in South Korea. You don't deserve to see her, Y/n. You don't have any right to tell me how to parent her as you were absent for many years." Taeyeon said back as Y/n bowed down, knowing he's guilty of it.

"Taeyeon, the company forced me to. Your company issued a restraining order on me. I did not have a choice. But now, with that restraining order expired and I'm more confident to face you. I feel like I could redeem myself. I don't want my daughter living in secrecy, I don't want my daughter growing up without a father even though I'm 16 years late, I don't want my daughter itching to not tell that her mother is the prettiest idol on the earth..." Y/n said with a genuine tone in his voice.
