2/8/14 Childish"Slap boxing?" I asked in an oblivious tone as one of Khai's good friend, Polo, nodded his head with a slight chuckle, "He really got suspended for slap boxing?" I questioned, now annoyed that I wouldn't be able to see him for ten schooldays, since he wanted to be an idiot.
"That shit was funny as hell! Almost every nigga inside the bathroom got suspended cause of that." Polo added, as he doubled over in laugher while I shook my head annoyingly. "They was just playing around at first, but then it turned into a real fight, quick as fuck." He finished, with a deep breath.
"So how you not suspended?" I questioned, continuing to type the assignment our computer applications teacher had given us.
"Cause my ass ran into one of them dirty ass stalls real fucking quick once I saw the security guard come." He admitted, trying my best not to laugh. As much as I wanted to smack each and every one of Khai's friends for doing something that childish when they're all either juniors or seniors, the entire situation was pretty funny to imagine. "I'm mad majority of my boys not even gonna be here for 2 weeks!" Polo then added as he shook his head and leaned back in his chair.
"I am too." I mumbled, as Polo looked over at me with a smirk, ready to tease me about Khai. "Don't even start Polo!"I exclaimed as I punched him lightly.
"I just find it funny how my eHarmony skills came in so clutch for ya." He laughed, referring back to when he introduced me to Khai back in photography class. All though back at that time I thought of them both as two complete assholes and did nothing more but wave to the two until I met Khai again at the park.
"Polo and Tyler! This lesson requires absolutely no talking, so the reason behind you two flirting during my class amazes me." Mrs. Eden nearly shouted from across the room. "Polo, if you want to ask Tyler out on a date, get her number after my class." She then added slyly as my cheeks warmed up and Polo sucked his teeth.
"Nah Miss, that's my boys girlfriend." Polo responded with a serious face, as our teacher and the rest of the class were now completely focused on us two. "You know Khayri Alphonse?" A blonde haired white girl seated beside me nearly gasped before turning towards me.
"Wait, so you go out with a senior. Aren't you like a freshman or something?" She questioned as her curly haired brown skinned friend next to her leaned over pointing her light pink manicured finger at me before I could even correct her.
"Does your mother even know you're with a senior?" She asked, obnoxiously popping the gum in her mouth. The girls friend then turned back to me and shook her head as Polo interjected his opinion to the mix.
"Why ya even worrying about her?" He asked, clearly sticking up for me as the other two girls jumped down my throat.
"Because, what does she even need a boyfriend for? Only thing she needs to be worrying about is school." The curly haired girl responded, popping her gum yet again. "Right Miss?" She then asked, turning towards the teacher who was listening clearly to the entire conversation.
"Yeah I don't really approve of it." She replied, shaking her head as she too shook her head as she looked at me. "If I where your mother I wouldn't like it one bit."
I looked down at my keyboard on the table in front me sighing as the bell rang, causing me and the rest of the class to quickly jump up after saving our work and begin heading out the class. "Don't listen to them, their just mad they aren't in your position." Polo assured me before patting my back and swaying out the classroom.
I tried my best to continue the day with Polos advice in my head, but the more I went through the day, the more and more I began to miss Khayri. But not only that, even more people began to question me and Khai's relationship.
