A year had passed since Haerin and Danielle had first crossed the line from enemies to lovers. A year since they'd shared that awkward, heart-stopping kiss, and their world had begun to shift into something deeper, more comfortable, and, most importantly, real. The entire year had been a blur of dates, study sessions, late-night talks, and countless moments of laughter and discovery.
And now, the day they'd both been waiting for had arrived.
Graduation.....
---
Haerin stood in front of the mirror, smoothing the wrinkles from her gown, a mixture of excitement and nervous energy swirling in her chest. The cap was perched on top of her head, a little crooked, but she didn't care. This was the moment. The culmination of years of hard work, sleepless nights, and a thousand fleeting, uncertain thoughts about the future. She could hear the bustle of activity outside her room as the rest of her family prepared for the ceremony, but her thoughts kept drifting back to Danielle. She was already down at the stadium, surrounded by her friends, waiting for the ceremony to begin. They had agreed to meet up afterward, but for now, they were both caught up in the overwhelming whirlwind that was graduation day.
Haerin phone buzzed, pulling her from her thoughts.
[Danielle: "You look amazing, as always. Can't wait to see you in the crowd."]
