The Darkness cursed ones

-Chapter 16-

A month had passed.
Jay had barely ate or slept, determined to get his friends back.
His room is filled with Papers, Books and notes, Jay sitting in the middle of them.
"Come on...there needs to be a way!"
He keeps telling himslef.
Suddenly Jay feels a knowing feeling rising in his chest.
"No...not now...I thought I controlled it...."
Jay scrunches his eyes closed, trying to swallow the feeling of power.
"Focus Jay, Focus!"
Finally the feeling dissapeares.
Jay sighs in relief and he turns back to research.

It's midnight and Jay finally found a possible way to get his friends back.
"That's it...That has to be it!"
Jay says determined.
"Please...please tell me I am not to late...please be alive..."
He whispers, hold up tears spilling over.
He teleports into the darkening room, where his friends still stand as Statues.
After a while of regaining his determination he starts to hum a melody.
Jay found out that apparently this exact melody is a weapon against Darkness.
At first it seems like it works.
Darkness emerges from the statues of Jay's friends.
But nothing happens.
They don't turn back.
"No...no...why...are they...no...please no..."
Jay cries.
"Am I to late? Are they...dead? No this can't be...please..."

After Jay regained his composure, he decides to ask for help.
Maybe, just maybe, the melody needs to get hummed by the amount of people turned into stone.

Jay teleports out of the darkening room again.
He walks through the forest.
Until he finally sees people.
"Who is there?"
One of them asks, obviously noticing Jay.
Jay comes out of the spot he was hiding.
Then he realizes who these people are.
The Wolves hunter group.
"Jay? Is that you? God what happened to you!?"
One of them asks, it's Xin who is asking, their healer.
"You know him?"
The leader of the group, Sung, Asks confused.
Xin nods.
"I know him from Heesan. Heesan is the healer of their nation. Though I think he moved away from the city because of the curse. He told me about Jay"
Jay's eyes light up with hope.
"So you know about the curse?"
He asks.
Xin answers
"Well, I know a little bit...Where are the others?"
Jays expression darkens again.
"They...they are in a lot of danger...Darkness was hitting us and...they are on the edge of death right now."
Sung gasps.
"Is there a way we can help?"
Jay nods.
"Based on the information I have, there is a melody that's supposed to fight darkness back. When I tried it, it didnt work. My theory now is that I need as much people as turned to stone."
He explains.
"How many are turned to stone?"
Sung asks concerned.
"Six."
Sung nods and turns to his group of also six people.
"I am one already. Who wants to join?"
Xin agrees instantly.
Along side Sung and Xin, Leen, Bin and yun agree to help.
"Alright! The rest of you please wait here alright? If you see any prey feel free to hunt it."
Sung explains.

Jay thanks them one more time before he teleports them into the darkening room.
The Wolves stare with wide eyes at the Statues.
"So...this is how the melody sounds like"
Jay begins to hum the melody.
Once the wolves learned it they Join in.
Just like when Jay hummed alone, darkness is emerging from the statues
And this time they do turn back to normal.
Jays tears spill over as he sees his friends confused but at least not dead.
He rushes to them.
"Guys! Thank the gods you're alive..."
As the others regain there orientation back, they hug Jay tight.
Except Jace and Sun of course.
Sun stares at the group, his eyes shining with longing and envy.
Jace quickly teleports away with Sun without a word.
The others stare back at the spot where they were standing.
"Tsk. Not even a thank you...What an Idiot"
Won whispers.
Jay explains that the group of Wolves helped him to get them back.
Everyone of them thank the five young men.
"Sung, Xin, Leen, bin, Yun...Thank you a lot. Without you...they would be dead...I don't know what I could possibly do to make it up to you..."
Jay thanks.
Sung shakes his head.
"There is no need to 'make it up'. We are always willing to help"
Sung bows polite and so does Jay.

The Boys arrive back at their house.
"Well that was some hell of a situation..."
Won jokes,trying to lift the mood a bit, eventhough his voice is extremely serious.
The others agree.
Niki is silent though. His face dark.
"Hey, Nik? Are you okay?"
Shino asks concerned.
Niki just nods plain.
Heesan furrows.
"Niki, you are definitely not okay. What's on your mind?"
He asks.
Niki still doesn't respond.
Jay asks again.
"Niki? Tell us, please. There is no need to be scared, we are all friends."
After a while of silence, Niki eventually speaks up.
"This is all my fault! If I wouldn't have suggested that stupid plan then this would've never happened! I am always messing up everything!"
His voice thick with emotion and tears.
The four are stunned for a moment.
"Niki in which world is this your fault! Nobody could've predicted that this cloud would appear at Jace' palace!"
Heesan insists.
"Exactly! And your plan was really good! No matter what different plan we would've used we would have been forced to go to Jace' palace!"
Shino agrees.
Won adds
"Seriously, why do you keep to blame yourself for so unnecessary stuff!"
Jay takes Niki into tight Hug as he sees the overwhelmed face from Niki.
"I am just happy you are alive and healthy..."
He whispers.
The others agree to Jay in the same tone as they join the hug.
"Thanks guys...I'm also happy that we are together again! Alive and healthy!"
Niki says with his usual bright smile and shining turquoise eyes.

Jay enters his room, just to find the mess from his research, not being able to enter his room. He sighs heavy.
"Well...more work for me..."
Suddenly Heesan appears behind Jay chuckling amused by the sight of Jays messy room.
"No worries, I'll help you clean up Jay."
He says.
Then Niki, Shino and Won come up as well and together they clean Jays paper filled room.
