A New Dawn
The battlefield was quiet now, the storm fading into a gentle drizzle. The victory, hard-won and costly, hung in the air like a fragile promise.
Elias walked toward Eliza and Alden, his face grim but resolute. He nodded to her with a rare smile, though his eyes betrayed the toll the fight had taken on him. "You did it," he said softly. "You've given us a future."
Eliza glanced around, seeing the rebels beginning to regroup, tending to their wounded, and preparing for what was next. The war was far from over, but they had struck a blow. And in that blow, Eliza saw the beginning of something greater—the dawn of a new kingdom.
"There's still so much to do," she said, her voice tinged with exhaustion but full of determination. "But this... this is just the start."
She looked at Alden, who stood by her side, his gaze steady. "We fight for something more than a throne. We fight for freedom."
As the rain began to taper off and the first rays of dawn peeked over the mountains, Eliza knew that the road ahead would be hard, fraught with more battles and challenges. But she was ready.
The kingdom was hers to claim.
And she would not be denied.
