In the morning, Jongho was gone.
Yeosang hadn't felt him leave, likely because he'd been in such a deep sleep, comfortable and secure in Jongho's arms. Maybe that was why Yeosang couldn't focus at work; his head throbbed slightly, and a weary fog clung to him. All he wanted was to go back home and sleep, maybe hang out with Wooyoung, who had been studying intensely for an upcoming exam.
Wooyoung was still training to become a nurse, carrying on with the dream they once shared of working together as doctors, a dream Yeosang had reluctantly let go. Though it had been difficult to set aside his ambitions, he fully supported Wooyoung's dedication like any true friend would.
But now, thoughts of Jongho crept in, unsettling him. He couldn't shake the images from the night before—seeing Jongho ruthlessly beat and then kill someone—and the contrast between that violence and their shared intimacy was disturbing. I kissed him, he thought, and cuddled with him. Yeosang sighed, feeling foolish.
When he finally got home, he found Wooyoung perched on San's lap, both of them on the sofa while Seonghwa snapped photos. Hongjoong, Mingi, and Yunho were nearby, all smiles and laughter. Yeosang couldn't help but smirk a little—clearly, Wooyoung had roped San into this.
"Will I ever get to live in peace?" San groaned, still refusing to hug Wooyoung back as the younger man nestled his chin over San's shoulder.
"Sannie, lighten up a little!" Hongjoong chided. "Wooyoung's just showing you some love, and here you are, pushing him away."
San rolled his eyes. "Yeah, because ignoring my 'go away' and smothering me without asking is the perfect way to show love."
"I just want cuddles," Wooyoung pouted. "Had a stressful exam today, and I need attention."
"Then go to Yeosang," San replied, trying to bribe his way to freedom. "He's just sitting there watching you cling to me instead of him."
But Wooyoung shook his head adamantly, making San nearly groan in frustration. Alone time was clearly not in the cards today.
"I want cuddles from the person I actually want to date," Wooyoung insisted. "Yeosang has Jongho, and I have you."
Yeosang's face heated up. Will Wooyoung ever stop talking about me and Jongho?
"You don't have me," San sighed. "I'm not yours, and I'm not some prize."
"At least give him a chance, Sannie." Seonghwa grinned. "You can't deny how much he likes you."
"I agree," Yeosang added, setting his bag down as he joined the group, hoping to get to know them a little better. Mingi chuckled, while San groaned even louder.
Wooyoung turned, abandoning San's lap to throw his arms around Yeosang's waist. "I need affection," he murmured, pouting.
Yeosang chuckled, ruffling Wooyoung's hair and pulling him into a hug. Seonghwa let out an affectionate "aww," leaning into Hongjoong's side.
San tsked. "Talks about wanting to date me, acts all clingy, and then goes around hugging everyone else," he muttered under his breath, though everyone heard. The whole room turned to look at him, his arms crossed and an eyebrow raised.
