The loud, blaring alarm was the first thing Yeosang registered as he stirred awake.

With a muffled groan, he rubbed the sleep from his eyes, squinting at the bright sunlight streaming through the window. It was much too bright for his liking—especially on a morning when he had the opening shift. Letting out a sigh, he buried his face deeper into the warmth of his pillow. It was so cozy, radiating a scent that reminded him of a campfire on a cold winter night.

Yeosang relaxed again, teetering on the edge of sleep, until a gentle hand stroked through his hair. He let out a contented sigh, melting under the touch.

Wait—someone was playing with his hair!

His eyes snapped open, and he jerked away—only to relax when he saw Jongho lying beside him. The other man was propped up on one elbow, watching him with a lazy expression, his free hand still tangled in Yeosang's hair.

That's when the realization hit. Yeosang hadn't been cuddling a pillow—he'd been nuzzled up against Jongho's chest.

Holy shit.

"Holy shit, I'm sorry!" Yeosang blurted, scrambling back.

Jongho furrowed his brows. "What?"

"I didn't mean to do that! I was just asleep, and I didn't know—" Yeosang rambled.

"Shut your mouth before I shut it," Jongho interrupted flatly.

Yeosang instantly fell silent, lips pressing into a sulky pout as he flopped back down beside Jongho.

"Why are you apologizing?" Jongho asked, rolling onto his back. "It's not like you slept on me all night. And it's not the first time we've cuddled."

Okay, fair point. Yeosang pursed his lips.

Still, the thought of it made his face burn. How could he forget that Jongho was in bed with him?

"I just... I thought you'd push me away," Yeosang admitted, biting the inside of his cheek.

Jongho frowned slightly before letting out a sigh. He stared at Yeosang for a few seconds before shifting, pushing himself up and leaning over him.

Yeosang's breath hitched. He barely had time to react before Jongho straddled his thighs, closing the space between them. Panic shot through Yeosang as he instinctively leaned back—only to realize he was completely trapped.

Jongho placed his hands on either side of Yeosang's head, still leaning in closer.

"Yeosang," he said, voice low and steady, "I let you sleep with me twice already. I kiss you all the time. Why in the world would I ever push you away?"

Yeosang swallowed thickly, unsure how to respond—mostly because he wasn't even sure why he had thought that in the first place. Jongho was right.

"I don't know," Yeosang mumbled. "I just... thought of it like that."

Jongho studied him for a moment before humming softly. Then, without hesitation, he leaned down and pressed a quick kiss to Yeosang's cheek.

"Don't think like that," Jongho murmured as he pulled back. "Alright?"

Yeosang bit his lip, processing his words. He didn't know why, but whenever Jongho comforted him, it worked immediately. It didn't matter if it was early morning—he felt selfish enough to want more.

Puckering his lips slightly, he silently ordered more kisses.

Jongho chuckled, his voice full of amusement. "So cute."

And, of course, he happily obliged. Their lips met in a slow, lazy kiss, Jongho holding him close without a care in the world. Not about morning breath, not about messy hair—just Yeosang, curled up in his arms, right where he belonged.
