I've had patrols officially with Ellie for about a month now. Me and Nova don't even talk or hangout anymore. She is always with those girls. I can never remember their names but I honestly just don't care enough to know.

Nova was my best friend, me and her would hangout basically everyday. But then the new girl came, became friends with these 2 other girls and then Nova joined. And now it feels like the night of the dance again. But I didn't like Nova like that, it just hurt knowing I lost someone I trusted again.

She literally quit doing patrols with me. Yes I have Ellie and I prefer it, but what kind of "friend" does that? Seriously, it was just pure pettiness.

I get out the house and head out the barns, doing the usual, getting patrol done and over with.

Me and Ellie get lunch. But I hear snickering behind me, look behind me and they are looking at me whispering in eachtohers ears. There it was Nova, and the girls. Everything went quiet, the chatters of everyone in the room stopped, all I could hear was their laughs, when they saw me they stopped and just looked at each other and died laughing. 

Ellie tried to get my attention noticing me looking and noticing the look I must have had on my face. But I could barely hear it, I felt like I was underwater.

"Y/n!"

I turn back to Ellie grabbing my food from Seth. "Sorry"

But I heard it again, the laughing the snickering. I heard one of the girls loudly say "guess that makes two dykes" I put my sandwich and turn around and walk to the table. I heard Ellie call my name trying to stop me.

I run up to Nova and slapped her as hard as I could she touched her face with her cheek and looked at me.

"What was that for?" She scoffed.

"For you and all your little copy and paste friends being complete dicks." I yell, I could feel the whole room looking at me and everyone being quiet.

"Sensitive much?" One of the girls said.

I looked at her and punched her in the cheek, hearing a whine of pain escape her.

The other girl tried to stop me I quickly react and pour milk on her head before talking. "Honestly you need to gr-" I heard novas voice and she interrupted me.

"God what's YOUR problem get away from my friends you crazy bitch"

I turn to her and scoff

"What's MY problem? What's yours? Some girls come along and you start ignoring me and then talking about me? How high is your ego?"

"Y/n how high is YOURS you start hanging out around dinas ex, you know what she did and what happened and yet you wanna try a bite of every girl in town. I know what you are"

My heart froze. I told Nova about the dance one night, we were drunk and sitting outside, we were freezing but we were laughing and giggling, before things got serious and I told her about what happened. Her face seemed concerned. But now she was looking at me with anger and digust.

"I can't fucking believe you" I go to hit her but Ellie drags me back.

"Y/n leave it let's go." Her tone sounded sharp.

We walked outside her handing me my food.

"What was that about?"

"I- I" I can't even talk. All I can think about is what Nova said

"Dinas ex" "I know what you are" what was all that could circle around my mind.

I look at Ellie starting to tear up, God it was so embarrassing, yes crying in front of her was too. But I made a scene with myself and everyone watched. It was embarrassing and I just wanted to crawl up in a hole and die.
