A loud sound echoed between the two as Josh slammed his head down onto the lunch table. Debby laughed, poking Josh's head and making him look up.

"Debby I'm so tired, performing is exhausting"

"Well, if you plan on doing it forever you better get used to it"

Debby took a sip out of her water bottle, keeping her eyes on Josh. He sighed, picking his head up but quickly placing it into his hands. Did Josh regret competing last night? Of course not! His body was telling him otherwise though.

Tyler didn't look much better as he walked into the room. He was exhausted, but he still managed to keep a smile on his face. He was still riding the high of their win from the night before, and all he wanted to do was perform again. Tyler threw his bag on the floor, taking the spot next to Josh at the table, Jenna following close behind.

It's become more frequent to find Jenna and Tyler seated at their table, and no one seemed to even notice anymore. Today though, another person followed close behind. Tyler's friend and teammate, Nick, dropped his stuff down.

"Sick performance last night, you guys should perform at my graduation party"

The two boys shot each other a look before glancing back at Nick. When he received no response, he groaned and threw his head back.

"Please, I really want some live music and everyone loved you"

Josh shrugged, grabbing another chip and throwing it in his mouth. Tyler cocked his head, keeping eye contact with Nick as he slowly inched his hand towards the opening in Josh's bag. Josh realized what he was doing and smacked his hand away, hugging the chip bag to his chest.

Nick just shook his head at their antics, leaning in closer to the two.

"I'll have Taco Bell at the party"

"DEAL!" the two shouted in unison, causing Nick to lean back with a smug look.

The bell rang for class, causing everyone to collectively groan. Their schedule has alternating days, which meant Josh now had a free period rather than music, which left him with a bit of relief. He'd be able to finish his homework from the night before since he basically passed out the moment his head hit the pillow.

Will had approached Tyler so they could walk to class together, the two becoming decently good friends overtime.

"So Tyler, you get your suit for prom yet? It's already next month"

Tyler gasped, grabbing his phone to double check the date. Will was right, prom was only a month away, which meant that graduation also wasn't too far off. To say Tyler was unprepared was an understatement.

Josh was in the same boat, now stressing when he overheard the people in his free period discussing prom. He glanced over at Debby who was on her phone, tapping her shoulder.

"Debs, you never told me who asked you to prom, you told me you'd give me the details"

Debby smacked the gun in her mouth, blowing a quick bubble and letting it pop.

"Oh...yeah I lied"

She giggled and turned back around in her seat leaving Josh to be stunned.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LIED?!"

"I had to make sure you didn't ask me so you'd go with Tyler, duhhh"

Josh glared at Debby and she hid another laugh. A boy leaned over, looking slightly familiar before speaking up.

"Hey man, she was playing matchmaker. No shame"

Josh recognized the boy as someone who was in the film club, but he couldn't remember his name. The boy must have noticed Josh's confused gaze because he spoke again.
