Chapter 6: Rhiannon

Artemis

I had said his name for the first time in months. "Said" being the key word. I've thought it many times. Times when I'm alone in my room, blocked from the world and others.

Artemis.

Just the name sends shivers up my spine. Makes me tremble. Makes me die a little inside.

I haven't seen him in forever or so it seemed. I haven't seen his chocolate eyes or his golden hair. His smile... His frown.... Him period.

I haven't heard his voice, his laugh, his heart. I haven't felt his breath against my cheek, his heart beating under my fingers, his arms around me.

Artemis, the one name that could weaken me within a second. The one name that wanders through my thoughts constantly. The one name that will forever be etched into my brain.

He somewhere, I know it. Hopefully waiting for me. I wouldn't blame him if he's forgotten me completely though.

I blink and shake my head, Elizabeth waving a hand over my face.

"Rhiannon? Have I lost you to your thoughts once again?"

I swallow and shake my head,"No sorry... As you can understand, many thoughts weigh in my head..."

She nods,"As I do understand. I get lost in my own very often... It's hard not to with them bouncing around..."

I nod in agreement and sip my coffee. Elizabeth has been there through everything with me. She's the only one who knew about Artemis and she hasn't told a soul. Her loyalty is comforting and strong. That's why I'm so willing to fight beside her.

I clear my throat,"So our cause Eliz-"

"SHHH!", she whispers quickly. "Nows my the time to discuss this... When were in privacy my friend. We're being watched..."

Then I feel it. Then energy of an angel nearby almost makes me hiss through my teeth. I don't recognize it, but I'm sure Elizabeth does. She looks at me and then speaks directly to my thoughts, a feat only she can do.

'Its a guardian... Male...new by the currents he's emitting...'

I give a small nod. I block my power signal and feel Elizabeth's go off my radar.

She turns to me and gives me a goofy smile,"Like oh my gosh girl! You look like so fabulous today!"

I almost lose me poker face but hold in my laughter. I give her a goofy smile back,"Like oh my gosh! You too! Your hair is practically glowing!" I giggle like a school girl and twirl one of my curls around my finger

She forces a blush onto her cheeks,"Like you really think so? I just had Stacy over at Clips do it! Isn't she fabulous?!"

"Oh my gosh! YES!", I squeal. By now I've located where this 'guardian' is. At a small table in the corner. He looks confused, probably wondering where our energies went.

"Oh my gosh! We so totally need to go to get our nails done tomorrow!", she smiles

"Oh I know right?!", I giggle. The guy in the corner grunts in agitation and stalks out of the café. I sigh in relief and look at Elizabeth.

She nods,"We better go..."

Just what I was thinking...

Hey! How ya doin? So I've never gotten much feedback on the story and I was wondering... Should I just delete it all?
