Chapter 21

“You two are gorgeous! I've been dreaming of working with professionals like you girls.” One of the photographers expressed.

After a week of resting and recovering from the injuries that we got from the hike, Sandra and I are finally on the set. We are currently having a photoshoot together to promote eco-friendly brands.

It's fun working with her because she's easy to speak with. To be brutally honest, I've worked with some models before and a sum of them were rude and arrogant. But Sandra seems to be nicer than what I expected her to be.

We're both wearing a sun dress. She wears the green one while I'm wearing the white one. After a few poses with the products, Shanice called for a short break.

“Thank god. I'm starving!” Sandra exclaimed before looking at her phone. “Oh, he's is on his way.”

“Who?”

“Hyunjin. He bought me food.” She answered before looking at me. I wanted to ask is he's her boyfriend, but I thought that it's a personal question so I stopped myself.

“You two are… pretty close.” I whisper underneath my breath.

“I heard your wedding with Rome is fast approaching. When your engagement was announced, my friends couldn't stop talking about it!” She smiled while taking a glance at my fingers.

I subconsciously touch my finger where the ring is on. Oh how I want this to be removed from my finger forever.

“(Y/N), come here for some retouching!” I hear Heidi calling for me from the other side of the studio.

I walk towards her and sat on my chair in front of the vanity. Sandra's vanity is just parallel from mine and because the mirror in front of me is so wide and big, I can see what she's doing through the reflection in the mirror.

My hair stylist started redoing my hair while Heidi hands me the orange juice in a pouch. She also takes out a small box and gave it to me.

“Mooncake?” My eyes glistened while I open the box.

“It's the last one when I went to the bakery. It's very high on demand.” Heidi said.

“Thanks!”

The box contains four mooncakes—my favorite snack! I take one and bite from it satisfying the hunger that I've been feeling. I was about to offer Sandra one of my mooncakes when the door swung open.

Sandra immediately stand up and greets the person who just came in the studio. Shanice also welcomes Hyunjin as if he is also part of this project. Right. I wonder if he's part of this project too. Is he an investor? A shareholder?

Sandra take the box from Hyunjin's hand with a big smile on her face. “Thank you! I was starving.” She exclaims.

Or maybe Hyunjin is her… boyfriend?

I don't want to look at them but this stupid mirror and their reflections in it are not helping!

I continue eating my mooncake even though I already lost my appetite. The mirror shows me Hyunjin standing beside Sandra who's now sitting in front of her vanity while eating whatever food was given to her. Hyunjin has a relaxed posture—his hand is on his pocket and his head is slightly tilted to the side while staring at Sandra.

My heart almost dropped when he looks at my mirror making me meet his gaze. I look down and bite hard on my mooncake while trying my best to look unbothered. A few seconds later, I look to check them again. They're talking with each other while Sandra does her little laughs.
