Story woke up to the gentle morning light streaming through Gracie's apartment windows. She stretched, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement settle in her stomach—today was the day of her interview with Vanity Fair. She glanced over and saw Gracie still curled up in the bed beside her, softly snoring. Story smiled, grateful to have her best friend beside her for this big moment.

Eventually, Gracie stirred and opened her eyes, smiling sleepily. "Big day, huh?" she mumbled.

"Yeah, no pressure or anything," Story replied, laughing a little. "I feel like a bundle of nerves, but I'm actually excited, too. Thank you again for everything."

"Are you kidding? This is huge, Story! I wouldn't miss it." Gracie sat up, giving her friend a quick side hug before nudging her. "Go shower and do your thing. You're going to be amazing."

After a warm shower and a few moments of much-needed self-care, Story felt her nerves calm down slightly. She wrapped herself in a soft robe and headed to the kitchen, determined to whip up a hearty breakfast to ground herself and Gracie before the whirlwind of the day. Soon, the scent of scrambled eggs and toast filled the air, and she brewed some coffee, pouring it into two mugs.

Gracie walked in, grabbing her coffee and sighing in contentment. "Story Belle, you're a lifesaver. Breakfast and caffeine? You're spoiling me," she teased.

Story shrugged, grinning. "Just trying to bribe you into keeping me calm today."

After breakfast, they finished getting ready and headed out, excitement building as they made their way to the Vanity Fair offices. When they arrived, Story was guided to hair and makeup. She sat in the chair, while Gracie lounged nearby, making silly faces in the mirror and snapping photos for them to laugh about later. Every so often, Story would glance at her friend's reflection, and they'd exchange reassuring smiles, both soaking up the lighthearted energy.

Finally, the moment arrived. Story was led into the interview room, with Gracie giving her a final thumbs-up before settling off to the side. Story took a deep breath, smiled, and sat down, facing the interviewer who greeted her warmly.

As the cameras rolled and Story settled into her chair, the interviewer smiled warmly, leaning forward with an inviting nod. "Alright, Story, let's start with something simple. For those who may not know you yet, could you introduce yourself?"

Story smiled, adjusting herself slightly as she looked into the camera. "Hi, I'm Story Belle—my full name is actually Story Belle Dupont, but I go by Story Belle on stage. I'm a singer-songwriter from Charleston, South Carolina. I started out doing cover songs on TikTok, and eventually, I got enough people listening to let me release my own music. I guess you could say I write about my life—the good, the messy, and everything in between."

The interviewer chuckled. "It sounds like you've lived quite a bit already! What inspired you to start putting your own work out there?"

Story paused, reflecting. "Honestly, I've always loved performing. Growing up, I was a dancer and used to perform in small theaters around Charleston. But with music, it felt different—it was like a way to say all the things I couldn't put into words any other way. When I saw how people connected with my covers, I realized, maybe they'd connect with my own songs, too. And here we are."
