The gym was still buzzing with the aftermath of the explosion when a new group of figures appeared at the entrance. There she was, the one person who knew Ethan better than anyone else—the Cookie Queen. She swept into the scene with a confidence that rivaled Ethan's own, her signature cookies in hand as always. Behind her stood Edgar, the vampire head of their mysterious organization, as well as a few other agents who were part of his covert team. Among them was Rebecca, a healer with an aura of calm that contrasted sharply with the chaos around them.

"Nice timing, as usual," Ethan called out, flashing a grin toward his best friend.

Cookie Queen, with her usual nonchalant attitude, tossed a cookie into the air and caught it with ease. "Someone has to keep you in check, Lover Boy. You get too carried away." Her eyes scanned the wreckage of the gym. "Looks like you've been busy."

"Busy keeping everyone safe, of course," Ethan replied, glancing over at Edgar, who was studying the scene with a solemn look.

Edgar's presence always brought a chill, even to Ethan. His long, dark coat flowed like a shadow, and his blood-red eyes—always glowing faintly—seemed to see straight through the chaos. Despite his enigmatic demeanor, Ethan trusted him more than anyone.

"You took care of the immediate threat," Edgar said, his voice cool and authoritative. "But that agent... Steele. She said something strange before she... disappeared."

Ethan couldn't help but shudder slightly. "Yeah, she dropped that 'fear is coming' line, and it made my skin crawl. Whatdoes that mean?"

Edgar's gaze grew darker, and his lips pressed into a thin line. "Fear," he murmured, almost to himself. "I haven't heard that name in years..." His voice trailed off, but the weight of his words lingered in the air. "We'll have to look into this. For now, we need to get you out of here before more agents show up."

Rebecca, ever the calm one, stepped forward, offering Ethan a small, reassuring smile. "I'll handle the injured. You focus on what comes next."

Ethan nodded, but before he could ask more, his mind went back to the rankings. He couldn't help himself; it was time for a quick explanation.

"Okay, so here's the deal," Ethan said, turning to the group. "We've got a ranking system in our organization. It's pretty straightforward. You've got Grade 1 agents, who are the highest rank. These guys are the real deal. I mean, they're practically superheroes. And then we've got Class 1, which I like to call the 'lackeys.' They're low-ranking, but they do most of the grunt work."

The group exchanged knowing looks, Cookie Queen raising an eyebrow. "Sounds like you have opinions about them."

"Who, me?" Ethan said with a wink. "I'm just saying, they're... well, lacking in certain areas." He chuckled, earning a roll of the eyes from Cookie Queen.

"Class 2, Class 3, and Class 4 are in between," Ethan continued. "They're solid, dependable agents, but they're not quite up to Grade 1 standards. You get what I'm saying? They're... okay, but not wow."

"And then there's Class 5," Edgar interjected, his tone growing more serious. "Class 5 agents are dangerous. They're like Grade 1s, but worse. They have a level of unpredictability, and their loyalty can be... questionable."

Ethan nodded. "Exactly. I mean, if Grade 1 is the gold standard, then Class 5 is the warning label."

Rebecca crossed her arms, looking thoughtful. "And these Class 5s... who exactly would be behind them?"

Ethan turned to Edgar, but Edgar's face had already darkened again, his attention pulled back to the lingering uncertainty around Steele's words. "I don't know yet," Edgar muttered. "But we need to prepare for whatever's coming next. It seems... personal." His red eyes flickered as if remembering something from long ago.

"Personal?" Ethan asked, his brow furrowing.

Edgar met his gaze, his expression hardening. "I haven't heard of Fear in a long time. It's not just another agent or power; it's something much older. But... we'll have to dig deeper."

Before the conversation could go further, a new tension filled the air. The once-boisterous noise of the gym had faded, replaced by a quiet unease. The fight was over, but the battle was just beginning. And whatever Fear was, it was on the horizon.

As the group began to make their exit, Cookie Queen nudged Ethan lightly. "Stay sharp, Lover Boy. Whatever this is... it's not going to be easy."

Ethan shot her a playful grin, though his heart wasn't fully in it. "When has anything with me been easy?" he replied, his tone suddenly more serious. "But hey, at least I've got love on my side, right?"

Rebecca gave him a soft smile, and Edgar's eyes glinted with the faintest hint of something ancient. "Just be ready," Edgar said cryptically, his voice low and urgent. "We've only scratched the surface."

And with that, the group disappeared into the shadows, leaving behind a haunting silence. The words "fear is coming"echoed in Ethan's mind as he prepared himself for what would surely be the fight of his life.
