A month had passed since the chaos at the pep rally, but life at Wild Cats High had barely settled down. Ethan, aka Lover Boy, had gone back to his normal routine—attending class, cracking jokes, and trying to ignore the lingering tension he felt from that day. But something was different now. He couldn't shake the feeling that the quiet before the storm was only temporary.

It was during his math class when it finally happened.

The classroom window shattered in an explosion of glass, sending the students screaming and ducking for cover. From the wreckage, a figure flew through the air, landing with a graceful, but menacing, thud. The girl who stood before him had pale, almost translucent skin, long, dark hair, and sharp red eyes that gleamed with a predatory hunger. She was a vampire.

"Class, please stay down," the teacher stammered, retreating behind a desk. But Ethan wasn't paying attention to the chaos around him. His eyes were locked on the girl as she slowly advanced toward him.

"Nice entrance," Ethan called out, cracking his knuckles as a pink glow danced in his palms. "You a new transfer? You look like you skipped the whole 'welcome to the school' tour."

The girl didn't smile. "I'm not here to chat," she said, her voice cold as ice. "I'm here to take care of you."

Ethan's brow furrowed. "Take care of me? Wow, that's a new one. Last time I checked, I didn't need a babysitter."

The girl's eyes narrowed, and without warning, she shot toward him at lightning speed. Before he could react, she slammed him against the chalkboard, her hand wrapped around his throat, her vampire strength keeping him in place. His powers flared in an attempt to break free, but the girl's grip tightened, cutting off his flow of energy.

"Struggling won't help you," she hissed, her fangs showing. "You're nothing compared to the power I've been trained to control."

Ethan's vision blurred as she squeezed tighter, but he wasn't going down that easily. He gathered all the energy he had left, his pink power surging in waves, and with a burst of force, he shoved her back across the room. She skidded to a stop, looking unfazed.

"Okay, now you've really pissed me off," Ethan growled, his love-infused powers crackling in the air. "I don't know who sent you, but I'm guessing you didn't get the memo that I don't go down without a fight."

The girl finally smirked, her lips curling in amusement. "I was hoping you'd say that."

With a flick of her wrist, the room seemed to warp around them. Ethan's powers fought back, but her vampiric abilities were clearly on another level. She lunged again, this time faster than before, knocking him into the lockers with a painful thud. As he groaned in pain, he could feel something familiar about her. The look in her eyes... it reminded him of someone.

Before he could react, the girl spoke again, but this time with a hint of recognition in her voice. "You're him. Lover Boy... Ethan Parker. Edgar's little pet project."

Ethan blinked. "Edgar? Wait, you know him?"

She tilted her head. "You could say we're family." Her smirk deepened. "I'm Erica. Edgar's younger sister. And I've been sent to take care of you. You've been a problem for too long."

Ethan's heart skipped a beat. "Edgar has a sister? And she's a vampire?"

Erica's smile was cruel. "Not just any vampire. But let's see how long your love powers hold up against me, shall we?"

And then, the fight intensified.

The gymnasium was in chaos as the two clashed in a flurry of pink energy and vampire speed. Erica moved with precision, each strike aimed to break Ethan down. But Lover Boy fought back, his energy bursting with pink streaks of love, creating barriers of light and sending waves of energy at her. He refused to back down.

I won't lose this, he thought.

With a final blast, he launched a massive burst of love-infused energy, forcing Erica to the ground. She staggered, clearly weakened, but her red eyes glinted with defiance. She hissed one last time. "Fear is coming," she said, her body bursting into a burst of dark energy before disintegrating into nothingness.

Ethan dropped to his knees, exhausted, but his mind was racing. "Fear... coming?" he muttered to himself, confused and worried.

And just then, the door to the classroom slammed open, and a team of agents rushed in, led by Edgar himself.

"Stay down," Edgar ordered, his crimson eyes scanning the room. Behind him, a few other Grade 1 agents stepped forward.

Lover Boy weakly stood, his breath shallow. "I... I thought it was over."

Edgar's eyes softened for just a moment. "It's far from over, Ethan. And it's only going to get worse." His gaze then shifted to the agents behind him. "You're not alone anymore."

"Who are they?" Ethan asked, his voice hoarse.

Edgar gestured to the first agent, a tall, strong woman with piercing green eyes and telekinetic energy crackling around her. "This is Madeline. She's the leader of the Grade 1 agents. Her powers are like Jean Grey's; she can control minds and matter with her telekinesis."

Ethan nodded, impressed. Madeline flashed him a quick smile, her confidence almost as strong as her powers.

"And these are the others," Edgar continued. "This is David. He's... special. He has two forms. His human form, and then his alien form, which turns him into a monster that feeds on humans."

David stepped forward, his eyes glowing with a strange, otherworldly light. He gave a small nod, a warning glint in his gaze. "I try to keep it under control. But when I let go..." He left the sentence unfinished.

"Next, we have Cookie Queen," Ethan said, grinning despite himself. "You know her. She's my best friend, and she's always got the sweetest cookies around."

Cookie Queen gave a playful wink. "I keep him in check, don't worry."

"Then, Rebecca," Edgar added, nodding to the healer. "She can mend wounds and cure ailments instantly. She'll help you recover."

Rebecca offered a gentle smile, her calming presence an immediate relief. "I've got you covered, Ethan."

"And finally, Jasper," Edgar concluded. "He's a friend of Ethan's. He has strength similar to Superman, and he's one of the most reliable agents we have."

Jasper, a broad-shouldered man with a friendly smile, gave Ethan a wave. "Don't worry, we've got your back."

Ethan looked at the agents surrounding him. "I'm not alone anymore," he said, more to himself than anyone else.

But Edgar's gaze grew dark as he turned to face Ethan. "We need to be ready. My family... they're coming for us. And Fear is only the beginning."

The ominous weight of those words hung in the air, and for the first time, Ethan realized just how much danger he was truly in.
