"I hope it all works as you say y/n." Feeling a little unsure, Ace adjusts his bow tie in front of the mirror in the men's room and freshens up quickly before leaving the restroom again.
On the other side of his headphones, he listens to you sipping your drink in complete peace.
"It'll be fine." Unconcerned, you lean your head back on the sun lounger and watch on a small screen as Ace enters the casino hall.
"Just make sure I always have a good view of your hand and the poker table..." Ace looks around the glamorous hall. This is simply not his world.
Fancy dressed people bustle around the casino's gaming tables. The players and addicts all hope to have the better hand or that the dice will fall in their favor. Women so beautiful and arousing, cling with sophisticated fake laughter to men whose only attraction is their wealth. Among the crowd of cheerful guests, waiters prance around handing out drinks.
Ace grabs a glass of champagne from a waiter's tray and heads back to the table where Crocodile and his company are seated.
He exhales deeply, drinks the glass in one gulp and places it on the next waiter's tray as he passes by.
"Hey Ace! Come over here, there's a seat for you." Crocodile calls over to him while the cigar wiggles in his mouth. With casual talk and sly words, Ace was able to quickly get Crocodile's attention without you having to put many words in his mouth.
His charm goes down well with all genders and many find themselves making friends with him. But it's not just his natural aura that has piqued Crocodile's interest. It's also the fact that Crocodile knows very well who Ace is.
Crocodile keeps a sharp eye on every opportunity to expand his empire and the more contacts, the better. He doesn't necessarily see the people around him as allies, more as business partners, but he actually likes Ace's company.
