Prem, a normal village boy haunted by his past, discovers a wounded wolf one night. When the wolf transforms into real human (Boun), an alpha werewolf, their worlds collide. Amidst love and danger, Prem must navigate their forbidden relationship and...
The next day arrived with the sun casting a warm glow over the village. Prem, feeling a little lighter despite everything, approached the yard with a smile. He found Boun leaning against the tree, his torso still partially bandaged but his strength returning visibly.
"Good morning, Boun!" Prem greeted him, a genuine warmth lighting up his eyes.
Boun, who had been staring off at the horizon, turned and met Prem's gaze. He offered a faint smile, a glimmer of amusement playing in his eyes. "Good morning, Prem. You're cheerful today."
Prem nodded, a slight blush creeping up his neck. "I guess I just... woke up on the right side of the bed." He paused, noticing the relaxed expression on Boun's face. "How are you feeling?"
"Better," Boun replied. "Much better, thanks to you."
Prem nodded, unable to hide his delight. "Well, I'll be back later. I have to go to work. Don't do anything reckless while I'm gone, okay?"
"I make no promises," Boun teased, and Prem laughed—a sound that filled the yard with unexpected joy. It felt good. Too good.

At the bakery, Prem worked with a newfound energy, his hands skillfully kneading dough and arranging trays. Even Aunt Ning noticed the spring in his step and teased him lightly about it. The hours passed quickly as he busied himself with orders, smiling at customers, and wiping down counters.
By the end of the day, Prem was tired but content. He had taken on extra work to make up for a few slow days, but the thought of going home and seeing Boun made everything bearable.
The evening air was crisp as he began his walk home along the familiar moonlit road. The glow of the moon bathed the trees, casting long shadows that danced around him.

Prem adjusted the basket he carried....a bundle of leftover buns wrapped for Boun....and quickened his pace. But as he turned a bend, the hair on the back of his neck prickled.
