Author's Note:

Okay, so I have been doing crazy research on Marvel lore because I always wanted to create my own marvel character, so basically an oc. I had rewatched all the movies and many of the shows, so just to refresh my memory.

I've come up with this original character and gave her a place in the Avengers. The story will begin in Captain America: Civil War, where the oc will be introduced to earth's mightiest heroes.

Please be warned that the oc might be going through depression, loneliness, feelings of hopelessness, and other triggering emotions which could be upsetting to some readers.

I also wanted to state that I do not claim in any way ownership or have ownership over any canon Marvel Cinematic Universe Lore or Characters that will be part of this story, such as Steve Rogers (Captain America), Tony Stark (Iron Man) Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier), and many more prominent characters. The oc that I created is developed by using Marvel lore with an original storyline intertwined with the canon storyline.

Lagos, City in Nigeria, Present Day, 2016

Millicent Morgan and her mother, Miranda Morgan, walked into a small café, each taking a seat opposite one another at a table.

"Honey, trust me, this place serves the best coffee I've ever had," Miranda chirped, grabbing the small menu placed on the table made of hardwood. They had come on summer vacation to Nigeria for the first time, the streets were always crowded and bustling with pedestrians. The scent of dried herbs and seasoned spices wafted through the air.

"Something is wrong," Millicent muttered softly, her knuckles turned white as she gripped at the edge of the table. "We need to leave the city, mom... now."

"Mill, did the feeling come back, did you sense something, tell me," Miranda beckoned, her voice turning darker.

This wasn't the first time her daughter had a bad feeling that something was going to happen. Sometimes even other people's dark thoughts revealed themselves to her, Millicent knew when someone was bad news, it was just a feeling, almost like her mind was warning her that something was going to happen, and not once had it proved her wrong, when she was younger, Millicent shrugged it off as her instincts.

Until one regular morning when she had an outburst with the grim news of her father's death, and shattered all the windows of their apartment building, sending a small earthquake throughout the streets of Brooklyn, New York. Millicent never spoke much, unless spoken to, she wasn't shy, just weary of people. Tired of their thoughts breaching her mind, revealing almost everything there is to know about the person, the deepest parts of human brain was harder to breech, but with effort she could, in which she never does.

"What if, just what if someone needs your help, darling, you can help if you want," Miranda whispered, slightly leaning over the table.

"Can I?" Millicent retorted, her eyebrows raised as she let go of her solid grip on the table.

"You have the means to help." Miranda sputtered, trying to provoke her daughter.

"Do I?" Millicent said, causing her mother's fake smile for the people around them to falter.

"Now you know I hate it when you do that thing," Miranda spat, resting back into her chair.

"What thing?" Millicent teased, a gentle smile tugging at her blush pink lips.
