"Leadership: leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence, and making sure that impact lasts in your absence." - Rocklynn Valente

I take in a deep breath, letting my feet feel the ground, my face feel the cold air as I calm my breathing. I am usually good with my anger, amazing at controlling it. Somehow in this moment im not. If anyone so much as breathes too hard they'll end up like the guards behind me.

"War? With who exactly?" Charles asks me. He's also mad, but shaken about everything.

"Whoever the hell took my book. That's who." I snap at him.

He stands straight. "What do you want us to do?"

"Get a meeting. I want higher royals only. I want resources pulled from neighboring towns. All the guards and dragons in Floravera, get the townspeople prepared and we will now have a curfew for everyone." I state. Liam finally looks over here, he's still confused it seems but intrigued.

Charles goes to speak. But Liam stops him and says "You're doing exactly what they want." Me and Charles both look at him. "They knew about your weird spell book thing. That means they know more than you think. They are a royal. You're giving them the exact info they need with that meeting."

He looks down the hill at the tree. The Charles speaks "we don't have enough men to fight another Kingdom." He sighs. "We will fight to our last breath, but without our soldiers in the other towns, we are weakened."

"We can help." Liam looks at me, reminding me of the proposal he gave me on my coronation day. He knew this would happen. He just didn't know that the wand wasn't involved.

I ignore what he says for now. I turn to Charles. "I'm invoking Hurden II" his eyes widen. He takes a deep breath.

"I will have everything set for 10am tomorrow. Please let us get you to the palace for some rest so you can have your energy tomorrow." He pleads. That is a better idea than standing out here in the road.

I nod, he leads me to the carriage, Liam follows, we both get in. Charles tells the horsemen to go, and we do. As we're going Liam turns to me. "What is Hurden II?"

I sigh, I'm cold, tired, I can no longer feel my feet, and now I have to plan a war. "Hurden II is known as the war act." I look out the window of the carriage. "It's the act my mother made 9 years ago incase any other Kingdoms attack. We pull troops from everywhere, and harbor in as much as possible. Then we get the town prepared for war. It's known as a defense position, it should only be used as offense at good reason."

"You mean KettleVille. Not other kingdoms." I swallow. It was made for KettleVille but this is something greater than just them. "It's smart. Having an act to keep your town in peace is always good. However, training them to kill anything that passes your borders is gonna ruin everything that Mililani built. Just know that."

He's right, and I don't want him to be but he is. Floravera is a floral valley. We were built on peace, and life, but she also built this place as a safe haven for those that need protection. If someone just killed 7 guards and injured 5 others including dragons then we are not safe.

We arrive at the palace soon enough, as it is right up the road from the tree. I step out of the carriage, Liam is beside me. "Are you okay?" He said, I can see the worry on his face out of the corner of my eye.

"I'm fine. The guards will escort you to your room. Get some rest." I walk away and into the castle. I would love nothing more than to have him come back to my room, and cuddle ourselves back to warmth. But I need to think properly, and when I'm with him, I can't do that.
