(inspired by the movie pearl harbor)
person a and person c have been best friends their whole lives. they were practically inseparable and always had dreams of becoming the best pilots anybody had ever seen.
finally, in their 20s, they get a chance to fight for their country. while going through their physical exam, they meet a nurse,(person b). smart and beautiful, (person a) and (person c) are smitten immediately.
however, (person c) is quicker to act on their feelings, asking out the pretty nurse with a lasting impression. their romance blossoms for the next few weeks and everything is amazing...
until (person c) is chosen to transfer to europe to fight in the war. they ask (person a) to take care of (person b) while they're gone and tells them that, if anything happens (person a) will deliver any bad news to (person b).
after weeks of worrying and dreading that (person c) won't come home, their best friend and lover gets the news that they died overseas.
(person a) and (person b) grieve and mourn, yet also find comfort in each other and having to navigate through forming confusing feelings for each other.
