Dax's Point of View:

I pace around my mate's house, trying to come up with an idea to get Joshua out of the house for a few hours, but nothing comes to mind.

After minutes of pacing, I finally get tired of moving around and plop down on the couch with a heavey sigh. Joshua walks out of the kitchen cleaning a glass cup with a washcloth.

"What's the matter with you?" He asks with a raised eyebrow. I turn my head towards him. Every time I look at Joshua my love for him grows even more. He doesn't even have to say anything romantic at all. All he has to do is be by my side.

"Just thinking." I look forward and lean my head back. Joshua looks at me strangely.

"You, thinking? I didn't know you did that." Joshua says in a complete teasing tone. He sets the glass cup down on top of the table in front of me.

I decided to ignore that. Instead of talking, I wrap my arms around Joshua's waist and gently pull him into my lap. I readjust him so that he's straddling me. Joshua's face goes crimson red with a blush in an instant.

"Dax?! What the Hell?!" Joshua shouts as he tries to get up out of my lap but I just tighten my hold on him and pull him to me as close as possible.

I lean my head in the crook of his neck and deeply inhale. Goddess, his scent of chocolate and strawberries is so intoxicating.

"Did you just sniff me?" He asks accusingly. In answer, I nod and soflty kiss his neck trying to find the spot that would make him crazy.

"D-Dax..." Joshua moans softly as he gently places a hand on top of my chest. That sound is music to my ears. I could basically listen to that sound on repeat forever without getting bored of it.

I continue kissing on his neck, slowly going up towards his ear. I kiss Joshua's ear softly then I gently bite his earlobe.

"Joshua," I whisper softly in his ear, "you smell so good. I can't control myself around you. You don't know how badly I want to mark you as mine."

Joshua visibly shivered for a moment before he looked away from my eyes, blushing wildly, "Then do it." He said softly. If I didn't have super hearing I probably wouldn't have heard him. He looks at me with determination in his eyes, but his face is as red as a fire truck. "Do it, mark me as yours."

I looked at Joshua in astonishment, does he not know how baldly I want to take him up on that offer? Does he not understand how much I want to take him upstairs and mate with him? Does he not know how important a werewolf's mark is? No, he doesn't, he doesn't understand any of it. A werewolf's mark on his or her mate is basically like marriage. With that mark on Joshua's shoulder, Joshua and I would be together as one.

A mark has to be special though. I want Joshua to know how much I love him, I want him to feel it physically and emotionally.

That's why, when I mark him, I want it to be special, I want him to understand every ounce of emotion that I feel for him. That's why we haven't had our first kiss yet, that's why I haven't ravished him yet, that's why I haven't told him I love him yet, and that's why I'm fighting all of my wolf instincts to just mate with him right here and now. I want it all to be special, because I love him, and my mate, deserves the best.

I look up at Joshua smile wildy. I kiss him on the cheek and gently get him off my lap and sit him next to me. "Not yet." I tell him.

Joseph suddenly looks hurt but he quickly covers it up and quickly gets up and walk back into the kitchen. Shit, I hurt him, I hurt him bad, but I need to hurry and get him out of the house. Maybe Joseph can help with that. I call Joseph through our pack link since he's not here.
