Author's Note: I just realized that I'my writing this story blindly. Not completely blind, I know where I want this story to go it's just, I don't even have a set path for it. I just let the creative juices flow. Haha, is that bad?

Dax's Point of View:

I slammed my so called Beta against the wall of the mall alleyway. I have all the rights to kill this fucker right her and now. I have the power to rip him limb from limb. I gave him one job, one job and that was to watch my mate, but he fucked it up because he couldn't keep his goddamn dick in his pants.

Now, mate is fucking lost out there. As soon as Joseph called me through the pack link and told me that Joshua was missing I rushed over here to the mall at the speed of light with 20 of my new pack members with the urge to kill.

The other pack members are following the orders that I gave them, and that was to finish moving everything from Joshua's home to the new pack house.

"One job Joseph, I gave you one fucking job. That job was a simple task, and you fucked it up because you couldn't keep your dick to yourself. " I'm basically seething with rage. If I was one of those anime characters Joshua loved so much, I would probably have steam shooting out of my ears.

Joseph looked down in regret and bowed his head. Showing his neck in submission, "Alpha, I'm sorry, it's just, I got distracted and--"

"Don't you dare say another fucking word." I interrupted him. "I should kill you where you stand. I should kick you out of this pack." I told him glaring right at him. I'm so fucking pissed at him. I trusted him with this job. I put my faith in him that he would keep my mate safe.

Joseph, whimpered, "I- I know Alpha, and I'll take any punishment you give me. Kill me, kick me out. I don't even care. Nothing is worse than breaking your trust and defying your order."

I sighed and let him go, but his back was still towards the wall, "I know, that's why I'm neither killing you or kicking you out." My anger is slowly leaving me. Now, I'm just filled with longing for my mate.

Joseph looked up at me quickly, "Alpha? What do you mean?" He kept his face blank but I can see that his eyes are full of joy.

I stepped backwards, "Heh, I believe Joshua wouldn't want you dead, so, you're staying alive. I also think he doesn't want you kicked out either. He was the one who made this pack possible." I told him while looking away. Joshua has turned me into such a sap, and for some strange reason, I like it. I believed Joshua wouldn't want his protector to end up missing tomorrow or today. He might get pissed with me. I smiled at that thought.

Joseph smiled wildly, "Thank you so much Alpha you won't regret it." He said putting his hand on my shoulder.

I nodded, "I'd better not, but, a punishment is in order. You're demoted for a few weeks. Have fun being the chief." I told him. His jaw dropped in disbelief. I patted his shoulder and walked towards the 20 pack members standing in the entrance of the alleyway.

"Alright, listen up," I told them, and immediately, they all quieted down and looked at me. "My mate, your Luna, Joshua, is missing. I want my trackers out there looking for him ASAP." The 10 trackers in the front nodded. I stepped forward towards them and pulled one of Joshua's shirts out of my pocket. I carry this shirt around just in case I needed to calm down. His scent is a great stress reliever.

The 10 trackers shifted into their wolf forms. I held the shirt to their noses so that they all could recognize Joshua's scent. "When you find him," I stuffed the shirt into my pocket, "I want you to bring him to the pack house unharmed. Understood?"

Yes Alpha! The trackers shouted through the pack link and ran out of the alleyway.

I looked at the last 10 werewolves in human form. I took out my wallet from my back pocket and removed the picture I took of Joshua.

I took this picture after Joshua and I's first date. His head is turned side ways and he's looking far off at something and his brown hair fell over his brown eyes at the right moment. The lighting struck him perfectly and he has a smile on his face. He doesn't know that I took this because I took his phone and did it. I printed the picture out afterwards and kept it in my wallet ever since.

I held up the picture in front of the pack members. "This is your Luna, this is how he looks. I want all of you to search high and low for him. He's the love of my life." I returned the picture to my wallet. "I'm counting on all of you to find him. Don't let me down." I told them looking at all of them.

They shifted into their wolf forms. Yes Alpha! I heard before they also ran out of the Alleyway.

I sighed and sat down and pressed my back towards the wall. My heart hurts so much. I just want to cry. "Joseph, what if we don't ever find him?" I told him, hold my head in my hands. My heart is literally breaking at every word that escapes my mouth.

"What if he's dead somewhere Joseph? I can't take it. I can't take the heartache of not being able to hold my mate." I could feel tears streaming down my face little by little. I clench my teeth in order to stop them but they keep coming. Damn it, I'm an Alpha, Alpha's don't cry. I need to be strong.

I could feel someone sit next to me and they pat my should reassuringly. "Don't worry Alpha, we'll find him." Joseph says to me. However, I just shake my head.

"I can't lose him Joseph. I just can't. This pack will be nothing without him if he isn't by my side." I sniffle quietly. "It's all my fault. I should have told him in the beginning that the pack was created and that we'll be moving." Goddess, why am I being so weak right now. An Alpha should not be so weak.

"Alpha, it isn't your fault. You were just trying to surprise him. Heh, it's my fault. I shouldn't have left him alone, and you're right you known. I should really keep my dick to myself."

I chuckled quietly at that. That lifted my spirits up a little. I wiped away any stray tears and sighed. "Joseph," I say as he gets up off the ground. "You know I had to do it right? I'm sorry." Joseph didn't look at me. Instead he was focusing his attention on the wall in front of him.

"I know Alpha. It's only natural for a werewolf to act like that. We're extremely territorial and possessive creatures. " Even though he can't see me, I nodded silently and stood up.

Joseph turns his head and looks at me and smiles, "Alright Alpha. Let's find your mate." I nodded and took off my clothes and relaxed my muscles and shifted into my wolf form. I gathered my clothes into my mouth.

Alpha, where to? I look over at Joseph and see that he's also in his wolf form with his clothes hanging from his mouth.

I raise my head and sniff the air for a second. I can't pick up Joshua's scent anywhere. Damn it.

I think I might have a suggestion. I say as I run out of the alleyway and go off towards forest behind the mall. I remember where this place is. It's pathway is memorized in my head.

Lead the way. Joseph says as he runs next to me. Jumping over falling logs and dodging the trees, I'm doing the same. Trees can be painful when you're not paying attention.

The forest animals sense that there are predators in the area and they run off and hide. I just ignore them. They are not my priority. Finding Joshua is.

I run faster as I run through the familiar pathway, running past the clearing that lead to the lake and the signs that say "keep out". If my hunch is correct and I hope it isn't, then he may know where my mate is. If he does, I'm killing him, no hesitation at all.

Author's Note: Haha, I think you guys already know who is on Dax's kill list if he has his mate. All of you are smart like that.

Sadly, this story is so close towards the end. Yeah, it's kind of short, but hey, maybe there will be a sequel, maybe. I

would like to thank each and everyone of you who took time out of their busy schedule to read this story. It's been an amazing adventure. I hope you liked it.
