Chapter 2

When Monday rolled around, I was up early, dressed in my best dress put make up on and brush my hair. I wanted to make a good first impression on my teachers. I was very excited but nervous at the same time being a veterinarian meant everything to me and that's what I studied for. I wasn't gonna let what Shane done to me. Get me down. I was gonna show him. I'd be fine without him. I had cried enough. Over him.
Pulling up to the college, I saw people everywhere. I pulled out my schedule and check to see what I had first I noticed. I had the same teacher in three classes. His name was Matt Johnson once I was inside I went to the restroom and freshened up my face, and then I made my way to my first class, which was English. I found an empty in front and sat down waiting for class to begin. I watched his others came in and sat down. A girl sat down beside me.
Hi, she smiled. I'm Kelly.
I'm Jessie I told her
What are you wanting to be? She said
I want to be a veterinarian and I told her
Really me too she said I have two dogs
I have a cat. I told her
If I had my way, I'd have 10 more dogs, she said
Same here, I laughed. We talked to the bell rang, and then the teacher walked in.
My mouth almost fell to the floor. He was the most good looking man I had ever saw he had Shane beat that was for sure. I wanted to slap myself for even thinking of the stranger in front of me.
Good morning class he said I'm your teacher, Mr. Johnson
Everyone said hello to him except me I couldn't speak even if I wanted to then his eyes met mine and I wanted to hide why was he staring at me like that? I looked down at my desk I to avoid his eyes this classes how was I ever going to get past his eyes? I'd been broken up with Shane for a few weeks and already I was moaning over someone else and a teacher at that who was older at least 10 or 15 years older this was going to be a long day.

I made it through the next two classes after that, but then I had Matt Johnson again another 40 minutes to look into his eyes not that I would or would I as I made my way to to a desk in the back I hope he wouldn't notice me, but I was wrong before anyone else he saw me and smiled

The whole time I could feel his eyes on me, but I kept looking away. I was not gonna be distracted by a man with gorgeous brown eyes. I had to stop thinking of this man like this he was my teacher for goodness sakes. I came here to be a veterinary not to moon over some teacher what was wrong with me? I finally got through the next class and it was lunchtime. I wasn't really hungry so I just got a salad when I looked up and saw Matt across the room drinking coffee he looked over and saw me and smiled. I turned away. I didn't want him to catch me staring.
This day couldn't end fast enough I couldn't wait to get home the day seem to drag, but finally last class and of course it was with Matt. I felt his eyes on me the whole time I was beginning to think something was wrong with me. Did I have something on my face was it that way he was staring almost ran out of the class when it ended. I had to get out. I just wanted to make it home and relax, but I knew tomorrow would be another day another day, but at least I was free for now when I pulled into my apartment my sister was waiting on the porch

I hope you don't mind me coming over
You know I don't I told her
How was your first day of college? She asked.
It was fine. I said I wasn't gonna tell her about Matt Johnson at least not yet.
Are there any cute guys she ask?
I don't know I didn't look for any I told her
Jess, I'm sure you looked
No, I really didn't I said

I'm not I'm just not ready for anything right now I told her
Well, you better get in the groove and find someone before you grow old

Right now, I just want to concentrate on my veterinarian. I'm not worried about trying to find a man.

I knew she wanted me to be happy, but she didn't understand. My heart wasn't in it right now even though me Mr. Johnson space came into view with his dark eyes. I shook my head. What was I thinking? I had to stop this nonsense. He was just my teacher I had no right to even think about him. I should feel so ashamed , I would walk in class and not let it bother me. I was gonna be all smiles and just get through the day and I wouldn't even think about Mr. Brown eyes or his dark hair or his smile or anything for that matter this for a while, Shane had made sure of that.
But for some reason, I couldn't get Matt out of my mind, but I went to sleep that night. All I could think about was him, and I went to sleep, dreaming of brown eyes and a gorgeous smile.
