I couldn't believe what I was about to say, but this fake date was actually going fairly well!Alex had picked me up from my house, didn't instigate anyone, including Harry.
There were no fights, and everyone seemed to be getting along just fine.
Although, my one complaint is that he's still not enough of a gentleman to open the car door for me.
It wasn't expected of him regardless, but it was something Harry would never forget to do.
At the restaurant, he wasn't as unpleasant as last time either.
He actually made a couple of kind of funny jokes. You know, those jokes your teacher tells you that you have to laugh at so that you don't get in trouble.
I wouldn't know about that though, I was homeschooled.
Anyway, after Alex and I were having dinner and notice some fans take a few photos of us, knowing they would get posted in the media sooner or later.
I laugh, shaking my head, because the paparazzi always thinks that we don't see them.
Spoiler alert, we do.Except for that one time at the theatre, but that's beside the point.
"Did you get a chance to see the pictures taken of us on those celebrity gossip articles?" I ask Alex, laughing and folding my arms.
"I did actually." He chuckles.
"I must say, you photograph pretty nicely."I cringe slightly, scrunching my nose.
"Thanks." I say, thinking it's a compliment.
"You don't look too bad either.""Trust me honey, I know." He says, narcissistically.
And there it is.
I scrunch my nose again awkwardly.
I don't even think this guy even needs to date anyone, as long as he has himself for the rest of his life, he's good."Not to sound rude or anything, but this date isn't so bad after all." I say, as he uses his napkin to wipe around his mouth.
"This restaurant is awesome.""I'll say." Alex says, smirking.
"Only the best for the only female member of One Direction." He teases, making me grin. That was nice of him.
"And for me, above all." He says, chuckling.
I purse my lips into a line and look to the side.
Throw me a bone here, Alex."Yeah, for sure." I say, the sarcasm leaving my voice.
"You know, you're not the worst company in the world, Alex." I say, trying to give him a chance."How kind of you, Lizzy." He says.
"But please, call me Alex Turner."Yeah, there's no point with him.
I'm pretty sure I jinxed this dateI nod my head awkwardly.
"Alex Turner." I repeat, pursing my lips into a line yet again. We couldn't even focus on our conversation at hand, as the chronic noise of the clicks of cameras from fans were so immensely distracting.
Alex Turner and I look at each other awkwardly, then back to the fans, then back at each other.
No matter if we looked at them or not, photos continued to be taken.
