My eyes widen and my mouth falls when she says that.
She saw the article.

"Bella-"

"Lizzy Walkers best friend, Bella Hadid picks girlfriend up from date with Alex Turner." She says, sounding as if she's reading yet another fake news article.
"It's so funny because you're just as much of a shitty liar as you were a shitty friend."

"Bella, please just let me explain-"

"But Alex Turner, good for you." She says, chuckling and mocking me.
"You know, I never took you as the kind of girl that would date an older man."
"You know, considering-"

"Okay, we don't need to go there!" I exclaim, my hand shaking as I lose focus and my eyes dart to a portrait of me, the guys and Simon that hung on one of the kitchen walls.

She continues to laugh as I bite my bottom lip in pain.
"It wasn't my choice to date him."

"Oh, I see." She taunts.
"So what, is this like a creative marketing tactic by Simon?" She laughs.

"I guess you can say that." I say, picking at the skin on my nails.

"Real fascinating Lizzy, but why'd you call me?" She asks annoyed.

"I wanted to explain why I was with your ex that day." I say as the call was now completely silent.

"Goodbye, Lizzy." She says and is about to hang up the phone, but I cut her off.

"You never gave me a change to explain! Those photos weren't real!" I shout, the call still going.

"They looked pretty real to me." She says, still annoyed and now probably angry.

"Look, it's a long story but can you please come over? I want to explain everything to you." I say, begging her.
"I promise you, if you give me a chance to explain, everything will make sense."
"I was your best friend Bella."

"That's right."
"You were my best friend, that's past tense." She says.

"Bella, come on."
"You were too quick to leave me, I never got a chance to talk to you about it." I say, choking back tears.

I hear her groan on the other side of the phone.

"Are you seriously gonna cry if I don't come over." She asks as I hum.

"Maybe.." I whine, choking back tears.

"You were always so dramatic with the waterworks." She says, annoyed.

"You're not answering my question." I say, wiping my face, nervous anyone would walk in.

"Fuck fine, I'll come by tomorrow."
"But if you don't give me a valid explanation, I'm telling everyone that it wasn't me who picked you up." She says, threateningly.

"Fine." I sigh, knowing I'm gonna have to be super convincing tomorrow.
"I'll explain everything if great detail, including why I was out with Alex." I say.

"Good luck with that." She says and hangs up the phone as the boys walk in the kitchen when it becomes totally silent.

"So?" Liam asks.
"How'd it go?"

I bury my face in my hands and then run them through my hair.
"Chaotic." I sigh.

"Care to elaborate?" Zayn asks, as I hand him back his phone.

"She's coming by tomorrow and I told her I'd explain everything." I say, my arms folded.
"Especially the reason why I was with her ex that day."

"So Bella is coming over tomorrow?" Niall asks, excitedly and we all give him a look.

"Yes, Bella's coming over tomorrow." I sigh and roll my eyes, as a big smile curves up Niall's lips.

"That's what I was hoping you'd say!" Niall exclaims excitedly, squeezing my arms.
"I have to go practice some pick up lines." He says and then making some weird face, where he'd purse his lips together and furrow his eyebrows while also narrowing his eyes.

"Don't get ahead of yourself or I'll slap you again." Louis somewhat jokes as Niall runs off into his room.

I look at the rest of the boys awkwardly, but my eyes stop at Harry.
I was still mad at him, and I'm sure he's still upset with me as well.

"She also said that if she's not convinced she's exposing that it actually wasnt her to the media." I say, darting my eyes away from him.

"I'm sure everything will work out." Liam says.
"Deep down in her heart, I'm sure she'll want to make amends with you again."

"I hope." I say as the room gets awkwardly silent again.
"Well on that note, It's been a long night, I think I'm gonna go to bed."

"Alright, goodnight Lizzy." Louis says, as the other boys do too.

"Goodnight guys." I say, walking into my room.

"Goodnight Lizzy." Harry says, sending chills up my spine.

I'm standing in front of my door.
I didn't want to be petty and completely ignore him.

Our argument was still fresh though, and I wanted a little bit of space.

"Goodnight Harry." I say without looking back, and walk into my room.

I close the door behind me and my back is adjacent towards it.
This was not at all how I wanted this night to end.

Now, not only do I have problems with Harry, but my problems with my ex best friend are coming back too!

I anxiously run my fingers through my dirty blonde hair and begin to sweat.

Hopefully like Liam said, everything will work out.
I'll clear me and Harry's names by getting Bella to confirm that it was in fact her who "picked me up"

And eventually, I'm hoping that Harry will come around and come to his senses to see that this whole situation with Alex isn't as big of a deal as it used to be.

He just needs to accept this temporary change as much as I'm accepting it.

I change into my pyjamas and take a breather.
I lay on my bed, as the back of my head finally hits my soft pillow after a long day.

Everything is going to be fine, I reminded myself.
Everything is going to be fine.

Guess who's back!
Sorry if this chapter took awhile to publish guys, it was a busy week for me because it was my birthday and I went to the eras tour, yay!!!

But chapters will be getting updated more frequently again, so do not worry :)

Things are getting more and more exciting, as more change will come about.

Hopefully a change that both Harry and Lizzy have been longing for ;)
