When you love your brother's best friend but he rejects you

Taehyung runs to a shade not to get wet further. He curses under his breath. He watches the time. 10 pm... Everything seems even darker due to the rain. Taehyung groans in frustration. He went to the supermarket to buy some late-night snacks, and it starts to rain suddenly, so he runs to find a shade. As he stands there, annoyed, his eyes suddenly stick to a girl who is dancing and playing in the rain. His heart skips a beat. He stares at her. Suddenly, a thunder strikes and the light illuminates on her face. He is mesmerized by her. He almost stops breathing. He can't take his eyes off until someone drags her from there. He stares blankly at the place where the girl was few moments ago...

Taehyung is sitting on the canteen table with his friends. Minhyun comes to them.

Minhyun: Hey guys, I want to introduce my sister to you all.

Y/n: Hi.. I am Choi Y/n.

Taehyung looks at her. His heart skips a beat again. Y/n is the girl from that night. He couldn't keep his eyes away. He never knows that he will get to meet her again. But here she is.

Y/n: Is something on my face?

Tae: No.

He looks away. His cheeks turn pink. Y/n smiles at his cute reaction.

A few months late

As the months go by, Y/n starts to be drawn to Taehyung. Her heart begins to beat for Taehyung, while Taehyung is more hesitant about his feelings. He is torn between his growing fondness towards Y/n and his promise to himself for his
first love. His life becomes complicated. He is lost in his confusion.

Taehyung is walking to the canteen when Y/n approaches him...

Y/n: Taehyung.. Can we talk?

Taehyung Nods...

Y/n takes to the outside premises. They both sit on a bench.

Tae: What is it, y/n?

Y/n: Umm.. Taehyung. I don't know how to say it, but in the last few months, you have been so nice to me and your kind behaviour, and everything drew me towards me. My heart starts to beat for you. I feel butterflies in my belly. I think I love you, Taehyung. Will you give me a chance?

Taehyung's heart drops on his stomach.

Tae: Y/n...i...i...

He couldn't form a sentence.

Y/n: Taehyung... If you don't feel the same, That's fine.

Tae: Y/n, It's complicated. My feelings are not sorted. I don't want to drag into my complex feelings.

Y/n: I understand.

Tae: Look, It's not like you are not important to me, but I am not ready for a relationship right now. I Have things too short and past to face. I am sorry I can't reciprocate your feelings.

Y/n: It's fine.

Her tears are welling, but she controls it...

Y/n: I should go now.

Y/n stands up and walks away. Taehyung wants to go after her to stop her and say something, anythimg but can't. What will he say to her? And he knows Y/n needs space. His own eyes got teary.

Later at night

Taehyung is in his room alone. The overwhelming feelings of lost, broken, and hurt consume him. Y/n's dejected face, her teary eyes flash on his mind, making him suffocate. He sighs and stares at his laptop. He clicks the play button. His all-time favourite movie starts to play. His eyes stuck on the screen. The male lead is staring at The female lead, who is dancing in the rain at night, and the male lead is standing afar, mesmerized by the female lead. It's the exact moment the male lead falls for the female lead.
