Ellie sat in her seat, paralyzed by the humiliation that had just unfolded before her. The laughter of Emily, Jake, and Mathew echoed in her ears, a cruel symphony that seemed to drown out any semblance of comfort. "Wow, Alien, now you look beautiful," Mathew sneered, his voice dripping with mockery. Emily chimed in, "Oh my gosh, Alien, I am so sorry. I tripped!" Jake added, "Now her bald head can be more visible." The classroom erupted into a cacophony of uncomfortable laughter; each chuckles a dagger piercing Ellie's already fragile heart.

Even her friends, Chloe, Alice, and Luna, joined in the ridicule, their betrayal cutting deeper than any words could convey. It felt as though the very walls of the classroom were closing in on her, suffocating her spirit. Whispers filled the air, cruel and unforgiving. "She is so disgusting," one girl spat, while another added, "Why is she even alive?" A third voice chimed in, "Who could love such a disgusting monster?" Each comment was a reminder of her isolation, a stark reflection of the pain she felt within.

Ellie's heart ached, not just from the words spoken, but from the realization that the people she once considered friends had turned against her, leaving her to grapple with the weight of their cruelty.

All her classmates began to murmur cruel insults about her appearance. Ellie could feel their piercing gazes upon her, and it struck her painfully that her parents had once looked at her in the same way. With a trembling voice, she managed to utter, "Why are you all so childish? Can't you just mind your own lives?" Yet, her words fell on deaf ears as they continued to mock her relentlessly. Ellie sat there, drenched in humiliation and frustration, feeling as if the weight of the world was pressing down on her. Tears threatened to spill from her eyes, but just when she thought she might break, something unexpected happened.

Damien, the new boy, rose from his seat and walked toward her. He had witnessed the cruelty directed at Ellie and felt a deep sense of anger towards such wickedness. Standing before her, he gently asked, "Are you okay?" Ellie felt a rush of embarrassment wash over her, rendering her momentarily speechless. He held her gaze for a moment, searching for a flicker of hope in her eyes, before turning to confront Mathew. "Don't you think it's pathetic to bully someone?" he challenged, his voice steady and resolute.
