RUDRA'S POV

Shivaay made an 'I'm done with you' face and sighed, " You pulled me aside before I can tell what my decision is?"

With a shrug, I replied, " You told me before that you would say no to the wedding after meeting the girl. I can't let the girl feel bad about herself." And let her sister think that I will play with her feelings too.

Of course, I wouldn't say it out loud.

Shivaay gave me a strange look and responded, " You didn't say that when I first said to reject her without meeting her? What happened now?"

" Ab..ab...woh sab main nahi janta. Tu yeh shaadi karega bas. That's final." I fumbled, unable to give a solid response. " You are insufferable, you know that? I can't just go and say yes. This wedding will happen if she says yes as well, Rudra." Shivaay pointed out that I can't force him and the girl to get married just because I want to be with her sister.

I signed, " I'm sorry for that. I just had a lot on my mind. I didn't mean to force you into this." And I'm genuinely regretful for that. Maybe the girl doesn't want this arrangement. I can't work on impulse and force them to be in this marriage.

"Is there anything else you want to talk about?" Shivaay asked bringing me back to reality. I nod in refusal and then we both walk back to the hall to see everyone's eyes fixed on the television screen.

The flashing news was the center of attention for everyone; they didn't even notice us showing up there.

The news anchor in a perfectly ironed suit was reciting the news, " And as the data shows, last year's and this year's murder rates went up. This happened mostly because of this one particular person responsible for the unnatural deaths and to be precise murders. These murders were of high-profile businessmen or other influential personalities with shady backgrounds. Many of them made confession videos before dying, admitting to their scams, illegal dealings, and other shady stuff. A similar video is viral of the famous business, Mr. Amit Shah."

The video starts playing, and a tear-stricken face appears. Mr. Shah's horrified expression was visible. He starts speaking in his trembling voice, " I.....Amit Shah...CEO of Shah Industries....want to confess my deeds. I did many scams and even got involved in sex trafficking. I used to give false advertisements about job offers and precisely in need of female employees. I made them sign false contracts and make them sex slaves. I have sold over ten thousand girls."

Everyone's face turned pale to the revelation. This information was crucial as Mr. Shah was a big businessman and influencer. He was famous for the charity his family did.

" I held auctions and sold them in them. Most of my riches were built from this. I even bribed many high-ranking officers. I even kidnapped one of my client's daughters as she uncovered my truth. I did buy many deals and many of my clients were purchased by money. The board of directors and many investors knew about it and silently profited from it."

He started listing the names of the investors and colleagues involved in this scam. The list was long, and he also described the evidence against them.

The video finishes and the anchor reappears on the screen. His face was panic-stricken. His voice trembles, clearly horrified. "We got two other videos, one of a burning hall, where the auction was held, and another video of....."
