Flashback
Vexy Violet had always lived life on her terms. As the lead singer of Skull of Roses, her raw, gritty voice and wild stage presence had gained her a cult following. One night after a particularly electric performance at CBGB, Vexy was catching her breath backstage when a raspy voice called out:
"That was incredible. You've got the kind of chaos the Dead Boys would envy."
Turning, Vexy found herself face-to-face with none other than Stiv Bators. His smirk was as rebellious as his reputation, and the mischievous sparkle in his eyes made her instantly suspicious.
"Flattery from a punk legend?" she quipped, crossing her arms. "What do you want, Stiv?"
He laughed. "Who says I want anything? Can't a guy appreciate raw talent without being accused of ulterior motives?"
"Not when that guy is you," Vexy shot back, her sharp wit matching his.
The exchange turned into a back-and-forth of banter that lasted hours, stretching from the dingy backstage to a nearby diner. Over coffee and cigarettes, they discovered a shared love for anarchic music and a disdain for anything conventional.
From then on, Stiv was a constant presence at Vexy's shows, and she found herself drawn to his chaotic charm. He wasn't afraid to call her out on her stubbornness, and she loved that he never tried to dull her edge. Their relationship evolved organically, fueled by late-night conversations, spontaneous adventures, and a shared defiance against the world.
One night, during a quiet moment on a rooftop overlooking New York City, Stiv pulled out a ring-vintage, tarnished, and unmistakably punk.
"Vexy, I'm not the kind of guy who believes in forever," he began. "But if anyone could make me want to give it a shot, it's you. Marry me, and let's be chaos together."
Vexy stared at him, the vulnerability in his voice catching her off guard. Then, with her trademark smirk, she replied, "You're lucky I like chaos. Let's do it."
Their wedding was as unconventional as their love story-a small ceremony in an abandoned warehouse with close friends, punk music blasting, and vows exchanged amidst laughter and heckling.
Years later, when Vexy looked at Stiv, now a husband and a father to their adopted daughter Serena, she knew that in their unpredictable, anarchic way, they had found something rare: a love that thrived on the edges.
