"What?" Jack wondered.
"I'm breaking you out of here," I explained. "Not out of the kindness of my heart, but because you owe me one."
"Oh, good, because for a moment there I was actually convinced it was the former," Jack responded. "Now, who are you again?"
"We'll cover that later," I decided. "Right now we need to get you out of here before the guards come back or spot me."
"Right," Jack nodded. "And what exactly was your plan again?"
"Bring me the torch," I told him.
"Right, and what exactly is that supposed to do?" Jack wondered.
"Just do it," I insisted.
He reached through the bars and handed me the torch that was lighting his cell. I took my other sword from my belt and held it to the flame so it grew hotter. Once it was hot enough, I used it to slice through the bars of the window as if they were nothing.
"Now climb out, hurry!" I urged him.
He jumped out and rolled onto the ground.
"Now, don't think you're going to get away that easily," I insisted as I landed in front of him. "No, I won't be letting you out of my sight until—Oh, come now..."
I blinked for a second and Jack had already taken off. I still had my dagger held in my hand from when I used it to climb the wall. I aimed carefully and threw it at his coat, pinning him to the ground.
"You thought I wasn't serious?" I pressed. "Listen, Sparrow, I'm not a bad guy. Not as long as you don't make me one."
"I can't make you anything," He responded cooly.
"Look, I really didn't want it to come to this, but you've left me with no choice," I warned.
I held my cutlass by the blade and whacked him over the head with its hilt, knocking him out. I heard the clopping of two sets of boots approaching behind me as I pulled my dagger out of Jack's coat. I knew who was coming without even having to turn around.
"So, you boys were watching all of that, eh?" I pressed. "Take him to the ship. I'll alert his crew."
"Yes, captain," They nodded.
They picked up Jack's unconscious body and started to carry him away.
"Goodness, just try not to be so obvious about it," I muttered.
I turned and walked back through the crowd towards the docks, where it was easy to spot the Black Pearl after that.
"Oi! Listen here!" I hollered to the crewmen on the deck. "I have your captain!"
"You mean Sparrow?" Gibbs asked.
"Yes, him," I nodded.
"Well, you've got some nerve coming all the way over here to admit that," Morty commented.
"Eh, maybe so," I shrugged. "But I figured once you heard my plight, you might agree to come along. I know you lot are pirates, but pirates aren't heartless."
"Speak, then," Morty urged me.
"He was a friend of mine," I explained. "I have the proof, if you'll come down and take a look."
"That doesn't justify kidnappin' him,"Gibbs pointed out.
"I only did it because he wouldn't come willingly," I explained. "He has a few things in his past that he must... answer for."
I revealed the scar on my shoulder from my first encounter with pirates.
"He gave you that scar?" Gibbs wondered.
