𝗳𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮'𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘃

a wave of relief washes through me while i'm sitting at my favorite cafe, it finally being winter again gave me a mix of emotions.

with my sweater and uggs keeping me warm, the winter air still manages to breeze through my face.

last year being a blur now, making me want to relive my life so i can completely forget about that mess. but i know, it'll always be apart of me and my development as a person.

now in lisbon, in this winter wonderland of a town. with the guy who was always by my side at all times. gives me a new light into something new.

a new chapter in our lives.

and speaking of him, i get a call.

"hey amor! how have you been?" he says while smiling at his camera.

"hiii love, i've been doing good. just getting my coffee!" i smile while turning my camera to show him where i'm at.

we talk for a little more, we're staying in lisbon for a couple of days. we just came from viseu to visit his family. genuinely the best people i've ever met.

"fifi, i need you to do a favor for me okay?"

"yeah, whats up?"

"meet me at the town plaza at 7." he says while hanging up right after.

"strange.." i say to myself, he usually isn't this slick.

as i finish up my coffee, i walk back to our hotel to get ready.

...

i put my hair into a mess half up, half down. leaving some curly strands to make it cute.

i put on black tights, with a skirt and a cute sweater. adding some final touches to my face and grabbing my purse to leave.

it was 6:40, luckily the plaza is only a 10 minute drive so i call over a taxi and head over there.

𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘃

joão standing there nervously, fidgeting with a tiny box in his coat pocket. already seeing a figure of the girl he's always loved.

they both smile at each other while embracing in a hug. both couldn't stop smiling.

the decorations in the city square made their connection even better, with the display of lights throughout the city lights, and with families enjoying the holiday season with each other.

while letting go on their hug, joão begins his speech.

"fiorella, ever since we met. there was always something about you, connecting me with you. always making sure if i'm okay, and doing so much great things for me. words can't express this feeling i have for you. even through our low points, nothing; and i mean nothing could never make me attracted to you. your laugh and kindness shine whenever i'm around you. and i would love to always make you happy. so i'm asking you this."

he gets down on one knee, "will you marry me?" opening the box which the beautiful ring shines at fiorella.

"oh my goodness, yes of course!" she starts to cry while hugging joão, seeing everyone appluad the newly-engaged couple.

"SEE I TOLD YOU! HE WASNT GONNA CHICKEN OUT." is heard from the cafe shop, being none other than gavi.

"quit it will you! they're having a moment."

fiorella looks over to see all of her friends at the cafe shop cheering and recording this special moment.

"they wouldn't shut up unless they came along to see this." joão confesses while fiorella brings him into a kiss.

"i'm glad they're here." fiorella says while her smile never leaving her face.

joão grabs her hand, carefully slipping the ring onto her finger. sealing their unconditional love for each other.

"i love you so much joão." fiorella says while more tears flow out of her face.

"and i love you even more fiorella."

the group starts to cheer and whistle as they walk towards the couple.

pedri goes over to fiorella, giving her a brotherly hug while congratulating the both of them.

"i say that now we should go get some dinner, on me!" balde says while everyone yells in joy, following behind him.

joão holds out his hand, which fiorella gratefully accepts. both laughing at their friends in front, seeming to have a better time.

even if it looked like they we're calm, it was the complete opposite.

feelings of joy and love circulating through their bodies.

this. right here is why fiorella knew things could change, flipping their lives upside down was the best thing to ever happen.

neither of them would trade this for anything more.
