Y/N sat at her desk, fingers drumming on the wooden surface while waiting for her game to load. After hearing about it from some friends, she decided to try playing a game called *Among Us*. The concept of the game struck her as oddly familiar, and she felt a strange sense of déjà vu when she first saw the little crewmates running across the screen.
As the main menu opened and the bright, colorful characters appeared on her screen, she clicked on the Airship map. Her eyes widened as the pixelated corridors, the meeting room, and even the vents bore an uncanny resemblance to her little friends' stories and the odd details she'd noticed around her own house.
"I haven't played this in a while." Y/N whispered to herself, leaning forward.
"Eeep?" a curious sound came from behind her. Blue and Purple had wandered into the room, their round little bodies glowing with interest. They tilted their heads simultaneously, their eyes darting between the screen and Y/N's face.
"Oh, hey, you two!" Y/N said, turning around with a bright smile. She pointed to her computer screen, where a yellow crewmate was running around the Airship map. "Is this where you guys come from?"
Blue and Yellow exchanged shocked looks, their eyes wide with surprise.
"Bluuu?" Blue's voice was tinged with wonder, his little finger pointing at the screen.
"Vrrrt?" Yellow added, tilting his head and stepping closer.
"Yeah," Y/N said, scooting her chair back a little so they could see better. "It's a game. Someone must have discovered you all before I did and turned it into this." She gestured at the characters running around the digital Airship. "But they must not have told anyone that you actually exist."
Blue's eyes narrowed thoughtfully as he studied the game map. "Bloop bloop?" he murmured, as if questioning the existence of this mysterious Airship in the real world. Yellow, on the other hand, leaned so close that he nearly tumbled over.
"Careful there, Yellow!" Y/N giggled, catching him just in time.
After explaining a bit more about how the game worked, Y/N turned to them and asked, "Do you want to play with me?"
The two crewmates' eyes lit up with excitement, and they nodded enthusiastically. "Vrreee!" Purple said, hopping up and down. Blue gave a determined "Beep beep!" and waddled over to her lap.
Y/N opened a new game lobby and adjusted the settings. They started the first round with her as a crewmate, tasked with doing simple tasks. Yellow pointed out the similarities between the game's tasks and what they did around the house—the wiring, the downloading data, even emptying the trash. Y/N in turned knew what he was thinking and sweatdroped, "Yea I know because I made those tiny little tasks for ya'll to do around the house which are fake hehe," She thought to herself.
"Bloop bloop!" Blue cheered when Y/N successfully completed a task without getting 'sabotaged.' Yellow gasped dramatically whenever she ran past another player, giggling as if it was the most intense chase.
By the third round, Y/N was chosen as the imposter.
"Oh, this is going to be fun," she whispered, a mischievous grin spreading across her face.
"Eeep?!" Blue's eyes widened as he looked at her screen.
"Shh," she whispered. "We've got to play this smart."
Just then, Black stepped into the room, noticing the trio gathered around the screen. A small smile curled at the edges of his tiny visor when he saw the red 'imposter' text on Y/N's screen. Without hesitation, he hopped up onto her desk, nodding at Y/N with an approving look.
"Vrroom," he said, in a deep, encouraging tone that somehow conveyed, "Let's do this."
"You want to help?" Y/N asked, giggling at how serious Black looked. He nodded again, pointing at the 'sabotage' button.
The round began, and with Black's silent direction, Y/N moved through the digital Airship, faking tasks, and strategically sabotaging the lights. Yellow and Blue, not quite understanding the concept of being an imposter, watched in awe as Y/N 'eliminated' another crewmate in a sneaky corner.
"Brrrp!" Yellow gasped, clapping his tiny hands.
"Shhh," Y/N whispered, her eyes twinkling with playful amusement.
As the round progressed, Black guided her through a near-perfect gameplay strategy. Whenever a meeting was called, Y/N's fingers hovered over the keyboard as Black whispered "Vrroom vrree," suggesting responses and defenses. Blue's little legs kicked with excitement, and Purple bounced in her lap, making it harder to type.
When the final crewmate was eliminated, the screen flashed, "Victory." Y/N laughed and raised her hands in celebration.
"We did it!" she said, and Black gave a satisfied nod, arms folded as if he'd just completed a mission.
The rest of the afternoon was spent switching roles, with Blue and Yellow trying to learn the game's mechanics while Y/N guided them. The room was filled with giggles, cheers, and playful banter as they navigated their way through each round.
"You guys are natural at this," Y/N said, giving them all a warm smile. Black stood next to her, a rare, tiny grin on his face as he watched her laugh and enjoy herself. The house was filled with a sense of camaraderie, and as the sun set, the little group was left with the happy memory of the day they discovered their roots and learned to play together.
