The sun had begun its slow descent, painting the sky with streaks of orange and pink as Y/N settled back into the gentle laughter of the crewmates. Just as they finished their picnic, White and Yellow exchanged excited glances. White, who had come from the airship and was still adjusting to life on Earth, reached into the small pack he carried.
"What are you up to?" Yellow asked, his eyes gleaming with curiosity.
White held up a tiny glass vial filled with a shimmering, greenish-blue liquid. "I've been working on this potion for a while. It's meant to test resilience and adaptability," he explained. He glanced around, lowering his voice, "We could try it on a plant or something—just to see what it does."
Yellow's eyes widened. "Oooo, that sounds so cool! Let's do it!" He reached out and tapped the vial with a tiny finger, making it glisten in the fading light.
They scurried over to a nearby patch of wildflowers, whispering to themselves and giggling like co-conspirators. Yellow dug a small hole while White carefully uncorked the vial.
"Ready?" White asked, aiming to pour a single drop.
Before Yellow could answer, a sudden "GRUUU!" pierced the air. Blue burst out from behind a tree, arms raised and face twisted into a playful snarl.
"AAH!" White yelped, startled out of his focus. His tiny hands fumbled, and the vial slipped from his grasp. The world seemed to slow as the shimmering liquid arced through the air, glistening as it spiraled straight toward Y/N.
"Wait—" Y/N managed before the potion splashed over her, soaking into her clothes. A strange warmth coursed through her body, and then a tingling sensation took over. The crewmates watched in stunned silence as Y/N shrank down, her form shifting and morphing until she stood before them as a tiny, gray Among Us crewmate.
"Y/N!" Red shouted, breaking the stunned silence. His wide eyes turned to White and Blue, fury boiling over. "What did you do?!"
Blue's playful grin fell into a guilty pout. "Gruuu..." he muttered, shuffling nervously.
"I-I didn't mean to," White stammered, taking a step back. His visor flashed with panic as Red stormed over.
"You'd better fix this right now," Red snapped, his voice sharp.
Yellow, who had been watching the scene unfold with wide eyes, finally spoke up. "Um... the potion only lasts for 24 hours," he squeaked. "After that, Y/N will go back to normal."
The tension in the air eased, but only slightly. Black, who had been observing from a distance, stepped forward. His dark visor turned toward White, narrowing as he approached.
"You," he said, voice low, "need to be more careful." Without another word, he gave White a sharp push, making him stumble back.
"Sssrr," White muttered, but before he could say more, Black's glare silenced him.
**Y/N's POV**
The world around Y/N felt vast now, the grass blades like towering spears and the trees stretching endlessly into the sky. She took a tentative step, wobbling slightly. Her new, tiny body felt strange and unfamiliar.
"Are you okay?" Yellow asked, his eyes full of concern as he approached.
"I'm... fine," Y/N said, her voice now a high-pitched squeak. She glanced up at Black, who had positioned himself protectively in front of her.
"Stay close," he said softly, turning to give her a rare, gentle nod. A warm feeling blossomed in Y/N's chest despite the odd circumstances.
**Red's POV**
Red paced, his tiny boots thudding on the ground. "This is a disaster," he muttered. He turned back to White, who was sulking on the edge of the group. "You need to explain exactly what was in that potion."
White sighed, shifting uncomfortably. "It was supposed to enhance resilience," he explained, his voice low. "But... I hadn't tested it yet."
"Well, we know it works on humans now," Blue piped up, trying to lighten the mood but only earning another glare from Red.
**The Adventure Begins**
The crewmates rallied together, determined to make the best of the next 24 hours. Red devised a plan: they would spend the day teaching Y/N how to navigate life as a crewmate. Black, still brooding and silent, stayed close to her side, his protective nature amplified by the accident.
"Come on," Yellow chirped, grabbing Y/N's tiny hand. "Let's show you how to do tasks!"
Y/N followed, stumbling at first but soon finding her balance. They approached a small play area where makeshift "tasks" had been set up by the ever-inventive Yellow and Blue.
**Task Training**
First was the "Wire Puzzle," where colored strings had to be matched up. Y/N reached up with her small hands, fumbling at the threads.
"Like this," Blue said, demonstrating with ease.
After a few tries, Y/N managed to connect the wires, earning cheers from the group. Even Black's stoic expression softened, his visor tilted slightly as he watched her.
"Good job," he murmured, more to himself than to anyone else.
**Playful Brawls**
As the evening wore on, the crewmates decided to have a friendly game of tag. Y/N, now more comfortable in her temporary form, joined in with enthusiasm. Black stayed close, watching her weave through the others with newfound agility.
White, eager to make amends, joined in too, but Black wasn't so quick to forgive. When White tripped and accidentally bumped into Y/N, Black was there in an instant, pushing him back.
"Watch it," Black growled.
White's eyes narrowed, and for a moment, they exchanged tense glares. But before it could escalate, Yellow darted between them. "Guys! It's okay," he said, waving his arms. "Let's just enjoy the game."
Reluctantly, Black stepped back, his gaze shifting to Y/N, who offered him a reassuring smile. The fight diffused, and the game continued with laughter and the occasional stumble.
**Back to Normal**
As the sky turned a deep indigo, the crewmates gathered around a small fire they had built. Y/N sat between Yellow and Black, her eyes growing heavy as the day wound down. Just as the clock struck the 24th hour, a tingling sensation washed over her again. In a flash, she was back to her normal human form.
The crewmates gasped, and Blue clapped his hands in excitement. "Gruuu! You're back!"
Black exhaled, the tension finally leaving his shoulders. "Welcome back," he said softly, his visor reflecting the glow of the fire.
Y/N smiled, looking around at her tiny friends. "Thanks for looking out for me," she said, meeting Black's gaze.
White stepped forward, head bowed. "I'm sorry for what happened," he said earnestly.
Y/N chuckled, patting him gently. "It's alright, White. I guess we all learned something today."
As they sat under the stars, laughter and stories filling the night, they knew that no matter what form Y/N took, their bond would remain unbreakable.
