"Thank you for allowing me to use your makeup, Shoko," Kaida said as she finished dressing and looked over herself in the mirror.
She wore a furisode with a lovely pink color that reminded her of Sakura's hair, with the Uchiha Crest proudly stitched onto her back. Her hair was pinned up in an elegant twist with a few pieces framing her face.
Her makeup was simple, with pink glittery eye shadow as a light blush to add color back to her moonlight skin.
Her dark eyes turned back onto Shoko who sat silently on the bed, staring at her with a dead panned expression, "Shoko? Is everything alright?"
"Just... questioning my sexuality. How in hell did Gojo score a date with you?" Shoko gawked as she unabashedly eyed the Uchiha princess. Gojo was going to have a meltdown when he saw her.
She had no doubt that Geto was already struggling to calm the hyperactive nuclear entity down the hall, this would no doubt send him over the edge.
Gojo Satoru finally got the nerve after their last mission to invite Kaida on their first official date, The Sanno Matsuri festival. He had nearly passed out when she agreed to attend with him. It had taken both fellow second years to pry him off of her long enough for her to get to class.
"Are you nervous?" Shoko asked, genuinely curious.
She could never get a read on the Uchiha. Gojo's affections were obvious, a sky full of fireworks would have been more subtle than Satoru's love for his Kai-chan. Kaida however was a complete mystery that illuded all of their understanding. She was kind, but aloof and often emotionless.
She never displayed joy, fear, or even pain.
Her lovely face was a mask frozen in place like a beautiful porcelain doll. It was unnerving at times and it made it difficult to predict whether Kaida returned Satoru's feelings or not. That was until Satoru proudly shook her awake in the dead of night and loudly informed her that Uchiha Kaida had told Gojo Satoru she loved him.
She was then unceremoniously lifted over his shoulder and sprinted down the hall to Geto's room where the same news was announced even louder.
By the next morning, it seemed the whole of Japan heard about Gojo's victory.
None of the higher-ups even interfered, too pleased with the blossoming match to care about clan politics for once. Though mystically Gojo did happen to find a flyer for the upcoming festival on his desk.
"What is there to be nervous about?" Kaida asked, tilting her head in a way that Shoko found adorable.
"First date, you know. Most girls get nervous." Shoko teased.
"I wouldn't know. I've never been on one before." The second year choked at the girls admission, shocked that someone who looked like Kaida wouldn't be courted by the hundreds.
"Seriously?"
"I had fan-boys. But my brothers usually chased them away. Then my father planned to arrange my marriage before his death, so there didn't seem to be much point in frivolous romance." Kaida responded before painting on a light layer of lip gloss.
Shoko's heart melted for the poor girl. She had lost so much if the rumors were true.
"Come on. Suguru's been texting me and Satoru is about to have a break down if we don't deliver you soon." Shoko shook off the remaining pity as best she could as she ushered Kaida out the door.
They made their way to the front steps of the school where a fidgeting white haired boy paced nervously in front of his smirking best friend.
Kaida took a moment to examine him before he recognized her presence. He wore a matching navy blue hakama and Haori set that brought out the brightness of his eyes. He looked beautiful.
