Uchiha Kaida had absolutely no idea how these men found her. One moment she was walking home from school, the next she was stopped by a grown man asking her to attend the meeting of the Sorcerer clan head. Well technically the invitation was extended to her clan head, but getting a hold of Sasuke would be a miracle in itself.

She hadn't the slightest idea what a sorcerer meant but assumed they were this world's version of Shinobi.

She graciously accepted the invitation, her curiosity getting the better of her. Once the man had left she got to work.

Dying seemed to have stripped her of the fear and caution that always clung to her during her years as a shinobi. Before her death, she never would have so readily agreed to follow strange men into a trap.

She had always been arrogant, a trait common among her clansman, but she had never been foolish.

The worst that could happen to her was she could die and finally find peace.

She wondered if she'd see her clan again in death or if traveling to a different universe would trap her in a separate afterlife as well. Or maybe she would just wake up elsewhere once more. Death seemed less final when you've already done it once.

She put the numbness she felt to the back of her mind focusing on her task of readying for this ominous meeting.

Her mother's lessons and the kunoichi training came in handy once more as she hand-stitched a formal kimono, befitting the Uchiha Clan. She had to cast a genjutsu on the employee at the fabric store but it all worked out in the end.

She pulled her hair up and elegantly pinned it into place, just as her mother used to do for formal clan meetings or celebrations. She put on the appropriate amount of makeup and slipped into her hand-sewn kimono. It was beautiful, with layers of white and red. The main portion of the kimono was an elegant navy blue and the Uchiha symbol stood proudly against it.

Approaching the address given on the invitation, Kaida could sense the enormous amount of chakra flowing through the building. With every step further from Tokyo the wave of nature chakra grew more pronounced.

She walked up the many steps towards the large campus of buildings. Glancing around, her heart ached at the familiarity of the architecture. The style of the buildings and the gardens reminded her of the Uchiha compound.

She had never returned to her family's ancestral home after that night. It hadn't really occurred to her how homesick she truly was before.

"Uchiha Kaida." A voice called out, drawing her attention from the familiar expanse of buildings.

She turned to face Gojo Yuto, his eyes were fixed on the Uchiha symbol decorating the back of her kimono. "Gojo-sama. A pleasure to meet you again." Kaida bowed respectfully.

"I believe we also requested the attendance of your clan head. Is he nearby?" The Gojo head asked, observing the scenery for a boy who was not even in this universe.

"My brother Uchiha Sasuke is indisposed I'm afraid. I have been sent on behalf of our family." The lie floated easily from her lips.

"Come. I will show you to the meeting." The Gojo man said bluntly, clearly not pleased with the absence of a male head.

She dutifully followed behind the Gojo as he led her through the complicated passages and towards a formal chamber. They both slipped off their shoes before entering the eerily silent room.

All eyes fixed on her, hungrily picking her apart. She stood before the, face stoic and calm as ever, and bowed towards the head of the room. She had no idea who held the most power, nor the procedures this strange world followed. Kaida simply bowed where her father would have stood during clan meetings and hoped she caused no offence.
