MADELAINE HAD an early call time on set. she woke up at 5am, got ready in her trailer and headed over to set a to meet up with the rest of the cast.

walking up to the poguelandia shack, she looked around outside, but there was no one in sight. maybe the other cast hadn't finished their hair and makeup yet, she wondered.

she walks into the house, searching for her friends, but is immediately met with a loud "surprise!"

madelyn, madison, carlacia, chase, drew, rudy, jonathan, austin and even camila all stood in front of her. the house was decorated with colorful balloons and awkwardly hung streamers with a cake sitting on the counter. "happy birthday!" a chorus of voices sing. madelaine blushes with surprise, not expecting any of this when she came to set this morning.

"happy birthday, pumpkin!" cami smiles, walking up to her best friend and giving her a big hug.

"cami! i can't believe you're here!" madelaine smiles widely, letting out a laugh and squeezing her best friend tightly.

"it was her idea for the surprise party." chase says, smiling at the two of them.

"and you know we wouldn't pass up an opportunity for cake." madelyn smirks.

"yes, cake! let's eat!" rudy rubs his palms together, walking over to the table that the cake sat on.

"rudy, it's six thirty in the morning." carlacia tells him, giving him a look of judgement.

"and breakfast is the most important meal of the day, isn't it?" rudy defends. madison shakes her head, rolling her eyes and drew chuckles. "now come on birthday girl, dig in!" rudy smiles at madelaine.

"you go for it." she laughs, giving him permission to take the first piece of her cake.

"meh, alright." rudy shrugs and picks up a knife to start cutting slices.

"happy birthday, madelaine." madelyn smiles, coming up to hug her.

"thank you, guys. this looks amazing!" she smiles.

"the boys hung up the streamers." madison says, side eyeing them for the lack of perfection.

"hey, you're just lucky i got them out of bed this morning." jonathan says, citing rudy's and chase's tendency to sleep in until the last minute. "happy birthday madelaine." he smiles, giving her a side hug.

"we've gotta go run something by the producers, but we'll see you on set later," austin tells her. "happy birthday."

"yeah, happy birthday, madelaine." drew smiles, touching her shoulder briefly as he walks by.

"thanks guys." madelaine smiles to her friends as they leave the house.

rudy takes his plate of cake, salutes the girl and follows them out with his mouth full of icing.

"is he always like that?" cami asks, furrowing her eyebrows together.

"unfortunately, yes." madison answers, earning a laugh from the other girls.

"alright," madelyn begins, "i booked us a table at ink for tonight. it's the best rooftop bar in town!" she says, earning a big smile from madelaine.

"that's sounds awesome!," she tilts her head in admiration for her friends. "this is so sweet, thank you, guys."
