First Day Back.

The Next Morning...

Vivian awoke to the sound of drawers opening and closing. Opening her eyes, she saw Siobhan in a dark green bra and thong set looking for something. "Darling, what are you looking for?" Vivian asked her girlfriend as she sits up in bed. "I can't find my black long sleeve top. It's my first day back to the nursery and I can't find it. It's the only top I feel comfortable in while I'm there," she says as she continues to panic.

"Darling, I'll help you find it, don't panic. I think I last saw it in the laundry hamper that I washed last night. I just forgot to put it away," Vivian days to Siobhan. Vivian gets out of bed and grabs the hamper, seeing Siobhan's top neatly folded on the very top. "Bon, I found it. It's right here," Vivian says as Siobhan's eyes light up. "You're the best Viv. Thank you for finding it," Siobhan says grabbing her top and putting it on. "I'm off today, I'm gonna drop Jamie off at nursery. I know you offered to drop him off on your first day back, but I don't want you to be late," Vivian says to Siobhan.

That would be great actually. I'm so nervous, but I really shouldn't be. We're together now and I don't have to worry about Roger anymore," Siobhan says fidgeting with her nails. "You'll be alright Bon. I promise," Vivian says hugging Siobhan as close as possible. "Why don't yoy wear my blue striped shirt to work today? It might ease some of the anxiety you feel right now," Vivian suggests. She walks over to her closet and pulls the shirt off the hanger.

"Viv, that's your favorite shirt. Are you sure?" Siobhan asks. "I have other shirts that are similar. Please babe, just wear it," Vivian pleads as she drapes it over Siobhan's shoulder. Siobhan puts it om properly, leaving it unbuttoned. Siobhan's body language and anxiety immediately calmed, she sighed with relief.

Vivian instantly noticed the change and smiled. "See, I knew this would work. This shirt is a symbol for us. It holds us together. I'll drop off Jamie at 7:30. You need to get going before your late," Vivian says before pulling Siobhan in for a passionate kiss. "Thank you, Viv. I love you so much," Siobhan says pulling away from their kiss. "I love you more darling. Have a great first day back," Vivian says as Siobhan gets the rest of her clothes on and heads down the stairs and out the door for work.

Vivian couldn't stop smiling to herself, she was so proud of how far Siobhan has come. She gets out of bed and heads to Jamie's room. Opening the door, she sees Jamie sitting up in his bed, playing with his teddy bear. "Good morning bud," Vivian says walking up to her son. "Good morning mummy," he says rubbing the sleep away from his eyes. "Come here sweetie. Time to get ready for nursery," Vivian says picking up her son. They head downstairs and put on Paw Patrol while Vivian makes Jamie breakfast.

"Mummy?" Jamie asks his mum. "Yes, darling?" Vivian responds. "Bon-bon? Where?" Jamie asks, sounding sad. "She's at nursery honey. You'll see her later on. She had to leave early so she wouldn't be late," Vivian explains to her son. "Okay. Bon-bon is my favorite, besides you mummy," Jamie says as he starts eating the breakfast Vivian puts in front of him.

Meanwhile at the nursery...

Siobhan had just pulled into the car park and could feel the anxiety build up again. Taking deep breathes, she puts the sleeve of Vivian's shirt up to her nose, and taking a big inhale, smelling Vivian's familiar Ghost perfume. Siobhan instantly calms down. 'I can do this', Siobhan thinks to herself before she shuts off the engine to the car, and exits the car.

As she enters the nursery, she feels nervous. Siobhan walks into the office, seeing Marjorie already at her desk. "Good morning, Marjorie," Siobhan says snapping Marjorie from her train of thought. "Well, good morning Siobhan. How are you feeling?" Marjorie asks, looking up at Siobhan, seeing what she is wearing. "I see your wearing Vivian's shirt this morning. I'm assuming things are going well?" Marjorie asks Siobhan, seeing her blush instantly.

"Yes. Really well actually. I was nervous this morning about my first day back so Vivian gave me her shirt to help ease my anxiety," Siobhan explains. "I've never seen you so happy Siobhan. I'm glad you have her. Happiness suits you," Marjorie says, seeing Siobhan smiling. "Thank you Marjorie. Anyways, am I needed here today or am I off to head office?" Siobhan asks. In the office with me today, Autumn is home sick. She's been having really bad migraines recently so she's home resting today," Marjorie motions for Siobhan to sit at Autumn's desk. "Okay," Siobhan says sitting down. They work quietly, getting things done. Normally it would be a stiff and awkward situation, but not anymore.

1 hour later...

Siobhan is doing some paperwork, and all of a sudden hears, "Bon-bon!" She smiles, recognizing that little voice anywhere. She looks up, seeing Vivian and Jamie. Vivian sets Jamie down, and he runs full speed to Siobhan. "Hey little man. You ready for nursery today?" Siobhan asks, ruffling Jamie's hair. "Missed you," he says looking sad at Siobhan.

"I'm sorry Jamie, Bon had to get to work early this morning. I'm at nursery all day today, so I can pop in to your class later on if you like," she says cuddling Jamie close. "Yay!" Jamie says clapping his hands. Vivian sees her two favorite people getting along so well, her heart melts at the sight of them. "Come on Jamie, Bon has to get back to work," Vivian says to him. "Okay mummy!" Jamie says before jumping off Siobhan's lap. Before running to Vivian, he gives Siobhan grabby hands up to her, wanting to be picked up. As Siobhan picks him up, he hugs her and says, "love you mummy Bon," giving her a cheek kiss and jumps off her, running to Vivian.

Jamie and Vivian head off to the preschool room, while Siobhan is sitting there in shock from what Jamie just said. Marjorie sits there, stunned as well. "Did he just say-" Siobhan begins to say, as Marjorie finishes her sentence," he loves mummy Bon? He certainly did," she says. Siobhan felt a tear roll down her cheek. "I wasn't expecting that at all. Viv and I have only been together a short period of time," Siobhan says as she smells Viv's shirt again, calming herself.

"I see the shirt seems to be doing just what I wanted it to do," a familiar voice says. Siobhan looks up too see Vivian standing at the doorway of the office. "Yes, so far it's calmed me down three times," Siobhan admits. "I'll leave you two to talk," Marjorie says walking out of the office. "Thank you Marjorie," Siobhan says smiling. "Viv, I was not expecting that at all. I mean, what Jamie said. I'm normally not an emotional person, but that hit hard," Siobhan explains. 

"I had a feeling he was going to say it at some point. When I woke him up this morning to get ready, he was asking where you were," Vivian says. "He did?" Siobhan asked, shocked. Vivian giggles, " babe, I know you think kids don't like you, but Jamie is an example that they actually love you," Siobhan smiles, grabbing Vivian's hands. "I love you Viv, so much. You and Jamie are my whole world. Now, go enjoy your day off. I'll collect at the end of the day," Siobhan tells Vivian. "It's okay Bon. I got him," Vivian smiles. "No, babe. Go home, and I'll see you later," Siobhan says to Vivian. 

"Alright fine. Here is a coffee and a bagel since I know you didn't eat or have a coffee before you left for work this morning. I love you too," Vivian says setting food and coffee on the desk. They wrap their arms around each other, and passionately kissing. After a little while, they pull apart. "Have a good day darling. See you later," she says letting go of Siobhan and heading out of the nursery.

"Well, I don't think I've ever seen you happier, Siobhan," Marjorie says as she walks back into the office. "I feel like I'm finally able to truly be happy. I honestly thought I was going to be stuck with Roger forever," Siobhan explains to Marjorie. "You're free to live your life with them now," Marjorie says to Siobhan, giving her a warm hug.
