I eagerly woke up and ran down the stairs. Today was my first day at Hogwarts. Downstairs, I find my mom, dad, and my stepdad. My parents are divorced, so I rarely see them together. "Hey, Isa." My dad calls. I smile at him as I pour coffee into my mug. "Coffee? Since when do you drink coffee?" My mom asks. "When I was at dads he let me." I shrug. "You excited for school?" My stepdad asks. I'm about to answer him until my brother James, walks in. James is a tall handsome fourteen year old boy, we get along very well, except when it comes to him invading my privacy.
"'Sup sis." He pulls me to a hug. "You'll be sorted into Slytherin, right?" He raised his eyebrows teasingly. "Yeah, for sure." I grin. My whole family has been in Slytherin, except my stepdad; he's a muggle. I look at my watch and my eyes widen. I run back upstairs and get ready. I triple check that I have everything. I take a large pack of money and stuff it in my backpack.
I come downstairs with two trunks and a bag. "Ready?" My father asks as he puts his hand on my shoulder. I nod and hop onto the car. When we get to the station, I hug my parents and turn to my stepdad, Dave, me and him don't really get along. He tries to get closer to me, but I was six when my parents divorced. It really left a mark. "Bye Dave." I smile before I walk towards James. He leads me to the train and heads off with his friends.
