The school council office buzzed with the quiet hum of productivity. Jennie sat at her usual spot, her brows furrowed in concentration as she flipped through a stack of documents. The morning sunlight filtered through the blinds, casting golden streaks across the papers scattered on her desk. It was evident she hadn't taken a break—not even a sip of water—since she sat down.

The door to the office opened quietly, and Lisa strolled in with the casual confidence that seemed to follow her everywhere. Though she wasn't a member of the council, her presence in the office had become a regular occurrence. No one questioned it anymore, especially since it was well-known that Jennie, the ever-diligent president, had a soft spot for the carefree volleyball star.

Lisa carried a small brown paper bag in one hand and a cup of Jennie's favorite coffee in the other. She paused for a moment, leaning against the doorframe, watching Jennie scribble notes and type furiously on her laptop. A small, knowing smile played on Lisa's lips.

Without a word, Lisa crossed the room, her sneakers making soft sounds against the tiled floor. She gently placed the coffee and bag on Jennie's desk, sliding them just within her line of sight.

Jennie blinked, her focus shifting from the numbers on the page to the steaming coffee cup that now occupied a corner of her workspace. A familiar scent wafted up, and she paused, her lips curving into a soft smile.

Looking up, Jennie found Lisa grinning down at her, her dark brown eyes full of mischief. Jennie pouted slightly, leaning back in her chair. "You're spoiling me again."

Lisa chuckled, her voice warm and low. "You deserve it." She leaned down, brushing a light kiss against Jennie's lips, lingering just enough to make Jennie's heart flutter. "Here," Lisa whispered, pulling back slightly to meet Jennie's gaze. "I know you're stressed. I love you."

Jennie's cheeks flushed, and she let out a soft laugh. "You're too much sometimes."

Lisa shrugged playfully, grabbing a nearby chair and plopping down beside Jennie. "What can I say? I've got to keep my girl running on caffeine and love."

Jennie opened the bag to find her favorite breakfast inside—simple but perfect. She took a sip of the coffee, the warm bitterness instantly soothing her nerves. She glanced sideways at Lisa, her eyes softening.

"You know," Jennie said, her voice quieter, "you make all this stress feel a little less overwhelming."

Lisa reached out, gently tucking a stray strand of hair behind Jennie's ear. "That's the plan, babe."

They sat there for a moment, the morning bustle of the school council fading into the background. For Jennie, it was a rare moment of peace, made sweeter by the presence of the one person who could always make her smile.

The sun streamed into the school council office, illuminating the stacks of papers Jennie had meticulously organized on her desk. She was just starting to enjoy the caffeine buzz from the coffee Lisa had brought her when the door creaked open. In walked their advisor, a tall man with an ever-serious expression, clutching a thick folder of documents.

"President Kim," the teacher began, his tone formal as always. He set the folder down in front of Jennie with a thud that startled Lisa, who had been lazily spinning in a chair across the room.

Jennie blinked at the folder, her good mood rapidly dissolving. "What's this?"

"Documents for approval," the teacher replied, adjusting his glasses. "It's a proposal for a joint career fair and college prep workshop with another school. A week-long event designed to help students explore their college options."
