The night was over and so was the week. Summer flew by fast, school was in 3 days. All of my days of sleeping in and not worrying about deadlines are over. I would be a Senior in High School. The first thing I do every morning before starting my day I would open my window. I loved the view and the smell of the ocean, it was pretty. It was something my mother enjoyed. After last night I went to my room and fell asleep, My hair was the same and my makeup well a little smudged but I just needed a shower. I grab a towel from the hall closet and walk towards the shower,

"Where the hell did you sneak off to last night with Adi?" Ivan asks me out of nowhere,  "I wanted to go home, so he took me home." I remind him with the same tone he was using towards me. "Mm sure." He says rolling his eyes at me.  "What's your problem?" I ask him putting the towel down.

"Well, you." He says disgusted.  "Hey, Ivan stop that." AJ steps in and stops him.

"No, I'm not. She just comes in and gets a house and room handed to her while we all have to walk on eggshells so that we don't hurt her feelings when I was here first!" Ivan complains and stops his feet.

"You're right. But I didn't choose this life Ivan, I don't want to be here really. But I have too. Both of my parents are dead my siblings are in a foster care system and I am just here living my life while they are who god knows who and could be miserable right now. If I'm in your way my bad but I didn't choose this." I could see his reaction changed as if he didn't know all of that. "Now can I take a shower? Because after all you are in my way right now. I wouldn't want to walk on eggshells just to take one." I complain back at him wiping the tears on my face walking into the bathroom and shutting the door.

I never chose this life but I have to be here. Until I am 18. I turn the shower on and take my jewelry off along with everything else. By the time I got out of the shower I could hear banging on the other side of the wall which was the gaming room area. I didn't have any plans for today so I just threw grey sweats on with a black tight tank top that was a bit cropped. I put curling gel in my hair and put it up in a bun. I walk out of the bathroom and it was the twins Oliver and Leo.

"What are you guys up too?" I ask them before going into my room.

"Playing." They both say at the same time.

I just nod and walk into my room. I throw my clothes in the hamper like a basketball. "She shoots, she scores!" I mumble under my voice. "Nice shot." I hear Adi voice come from behind me. "Ah, what the hell? What are you doing here?" I ask him concerned. "And why are you in my closet?" I ask pointing at him. "Want to leave with me?" He asks sitting on the edge of my bed.

"Why not." He looks at me like I'm weird. "I won't tell you where I'm taking you." He reminds me, almost like he is trying to back me out of it.  "Ok, sounds good." I say calmly. I was so calm it scared him. "Alright." He agree with me. "Let's go." He sits up and walks toward me. "Does AJ know you're here?" I ask him walking backwards.

"Of course, never enter another persons house without them knowing." He almost gave me a speech like he was president. "Smart." I open the door and walk down the stairs, everyone was downstairs and when they heard me coming down the stairs they all looked at me. Including Ivan. I go for the door with Adi behind me. "Wait a minute." AJ says before I open the door. "Yes?" I ask turning around.

"Can I talk to you for a minute? Alone." She whispers, "Of course." I follow her outside by the garden,

"What's up?" I ask her.

"I'm sorry about Ivan. It was not his place to tell you those things. You know I want you here and you are more than welcome to stay however long you want after you turn 18. My door will always be open for you no matter what, I will treat you like my own daughter. I know you don't want an apology from Ivan right now." She was so sentimental with her words and how she spoke. That's why I loved her like my mom. "I'm okay, really." I remind her with a smile.
