Several weeks had elapsed since Scott sustained a knee injury at a social gathering. The following morning, he awoke early and proceeded to check on Scala in her room to ensure her well-being. Subsequently, he retrieved his knee brace and went for a run.

A few minutes later, Scala was in her room, visibly distressed and in tears. She was deeply concerned about her brother since his injury a few weeks prior. Meanwhile, Tim was preparing lunch for both Scott and Scala. Upon returning home, Scott removed his knee brace, went to his room to shower, and changed his clothes.

Tim inquired, "Are you alright?"

Scott replied, "Yes, where is Scala?"

Tim responded, "She is in her room crying."

Scott asked, "Why?"

Tim explained, "She is worried about you. Ever since your injury, she has been anxious about your condition. She cares for you deeply and wants to ensure your safety. You should go and reassure her that you are okay."

Scott nodded in understanding and departed to find Scala. Upon entering her room, he found her in a state of distress.

"Scala, hey," he said.

Upon seeing her brother, Scala leaped into his arms, and Scott comforted her by rubbing her back. He then sat on her bed, holding her close.

"Scala, I may not be fully recovered, but that will not diminish my love for you. If it brings you comfort, I assure you that I am okay," he said.

Scala's face brightened with a smile as she embraced her brother.

"Are you happy now?" Scott asked.

Scala nodded in affirmation.

"I am glad," he responded.

At that moment, Scott heard Scala's stomach growl.

"Are you hungry?" he inquired.

"Yes," Scala replied.

"Lunch will be ready shortly," Scott assured her.

Scala nodded and then mentioned, "Jules was talking about you today."

"Really?" Scott responded with interest.

"Yes," Scala confirmed.

At that moment, Tim called out, "Lunch is ready."

Scott and Scala head to eat.

Scott was reclining in bed with an ice pack on his knee when he noticed Scala approaching. A smile spread across his face upon seeing her.

Scott: "Hello, sister."

Scala: "Would you like some company?"

Scott: "I would appreciate that."

Scala nestled beside Scott.

Scala: "How is your knee feeling?"

Scott: "It is painful and sore."

Scala's expression turned to one of concern.

Scott: "I am managing, though."

Scala: "Is that because you are moving slowly?"

Scott chuckled in response.

Scott: "No, I am simply taking it easy."

Scala: "Alright."

Scott: "Now, enough about me, you silly. What would you like for lunch tomorrow?"

Scala: "I don't know."

Scott: "Very well, then march off to your room to prepare for bed and to study."

Scala: "Okay."

Once Scala had departed, Scott attempted to find a comfortable position despite the discomfort in his knee.
