The following morning, Scala remained in a state of slumber. After securing his shoelaces, Scott proceeded to check on Scala prior to embarking on his run. Upon entering Scala's room, he observed her still asleep and shivering. In response, Scott retrieved a blanket and draped it over her. He then placed a gentle kiss on Scala's cheek before departing from her room. Subsequently, Scott set out for his run, during which he encountered Bess.
Following a brief conversation, Scott departed to resume his run. The evening had fallen, and Bess was at home preparing herself. Scott and Scala were scheduled to attend the movies with Bess that night.
