AFTER THE PARTY on the beach, the crew decided to crash for the night on the poguelandia set instead of walking all the way back to their hotel.

the girls took the bedroom: carlacia, cami and madelaine sleeping on the bed while madelyn and madison slept on an air mattress in the floor. the boys crashed in the living room, each one taking either a couch or a recliner.

the sun peeks in through the window of the bedroom, waking madelaine up first. she yawns, sitting up in the middle of the bed.

"mads, go back to sleep." cami groans at the movement of the bed.

"it's eleven in the morning." madelaine says after grabbing her phone to check the time and her notifications.

"eleven?" madelyn asks, rolling over onto her stomach and propping herself up on her elbows. "i can't believe we slept so long."

"well, we did stay up pretty late." madison adds, her voice groggy from just waking up.

carlacia sighs, sitting up and leaning her head against the headboard. "i can't believe the boys won the fucking beer pong game." she mutters angrily.

"you're still upset about that?" cami chuckles, rubbing her eyes sleepily.

"damn right," laci crosses her arms. "i've got to get them back somehow." she bites her lip, thinking of how she could beat the guys next.

"i didn't realize you were so competitive." madelaine smiles at her, taking her hair out of the bun she wrapped it into and running her fingers through.

"oh yeah. one time, i bit this girl's hand so she had to forfeit our table tennis match. she was getting stitches while i was receiving my crown." laci smiles proudly.

"scary, but admirable... remind me to never play you in table tennis." madelaine tells her, giving her a little side eye.

"wait, i know exactly how we can get the boys back." madelyn says, pushing herself up onto her knees so she can see everyone on the bed.

"what is it?" madison asks.

"a nerf battle." she smirks.

"ooh, now we're talking." madelaine smiles mischievously.

"the nerf guns are still in the kitchen from the last time we played!" madelyn tells them.

"as long as the boys haven't woken up yet, we should be able to grab them and attack." cami nods, completely on board with the idea.

"i'm in." laci smiles widely and nods.

the five girls get up, quietly open the bedroom door and slowly creep down the hallway towards the kitchen. laci gives madelyn a thumbs up when she peers around the corner and sees that the boys were still asleep.

madelyn softly opens the cabinet where the nerf guns were, handing one to each girl and softly padding over to the living room, trying to avoid any loose floorboards that could cause a creak.

"start shooting on three, yeah?" laci whispers.

"wait," madelaine holds back a laugh as she quickly snaps a photo of the boys snoring before slipping her phone back into her pocket. "okay, now i'm ready."
