"...the feathers on his wings were either broken in half or lying at angles.'

Willow pov. (Wow! Is that a pov. I see?)

When Gus and I saw the wings and the misplaced tail feathers, we paused. We tried to get Hunter's attention without scaring him even more so I taped the floor a couple of times to get his attention. That seemed to get his attention because he looked up, but I noticed his eyes still looked glazed over. "Hunter? Can you hear me?" I whispered calmly. He nodded a little. "Are you good with touch right now?" He seemed to think about it for a moment, chirped a little, then nodded. I moved my hand to lay on his shoulder and my other on his thigh. "Can Gus adjust your pants so your feathers are straight?"
"Yes," Hunter whispered. It sounded strained. Like he was fighting off the urge to make a bird noise. I look back at Gus, and it appears he had heard him, too. We nod at each other, and he moves closer to his back as I help Hunter scoot forward. So that when Gus lowers his pants a little to get the feathers free, they won't be stuck up against the wall and will lay straight.
"Hands-on pants now, and lowering pants, now," Gus said as he touched Hunter's pants and slowly lowered them. Once free, the feathers slowly came down but were still pointing in all directions. It looked very uncomfortable. I then took a closer look at the feathers on his wings and I saw that they were misplaced as well.
I looked back at Hunter's face and saw his features had relaxed a bit, but still a little tense. "Hunter? Can Gus and I touch the feathers on your wings and tail? All we're going to do is straighten them so you are more comfortable." Hunter hesitantly nods.
With the confirmation, Gus and I helped Hunter to lie on his stomach. I grabbed a pillow from off the bed beside us and put it under his head. I suddenly remembered that we had an audience So I gently turned his head to lay on the side of it; so that if he did look over, he wouldn't see them.

No one pov.

The group at the door all had a different reaction to the boy lying on the floor. Raine had a look of pain, sorrow, and pity. Darius and Luz looked like they were one gust of wind away from passing out. However, Eda looked at him in shock, because she realized what was causing this to happen to the boy.

Someone had cursed Hunter.
